Plot

Chandra Pratap Varma AKA King (Nagarjuna) hails from a royal family, having taken over the legacy and riches after the death of his father Raja Varma (Sobhan Babu). King has a younger brother Ajay (Deepak), mother (Geetha), maternal uncle ([Dharmavarapu Subramanyam]) and his late father's three sisters, who are married. Their husbands are (C Jayaprakash, Krishna Bhagawan, Sayaji Shinde). The uncles steal money, which's for the workers. They make it look like that the employee Chandu's responsible. King believes and fires Chandu. Suddenly, King knew that the uncles hid the money in their room. He kept quiet cuz of his aunts, mother, etc. He didn't want to ruin his family's honor. King's uncles are jealous of his power. King's brother gets kidnapped by henchmen of a rival business man named Bhagat. King rescues his younger brother. King's late dad's sisters' husbands plan to kill King indirectly. This planned day arrives and King goes away on a business trip where he meets his bodyguard, Munna and another employee, Swapna (Mamta Mohandas). Before King leaves airport, this mysterious guy's after King. Guy tries to shoot King, but misses. King chases him to graveyard, but doesn't see him. Unfortunately, Swapna was working with mysterious guy all along and Swapna shoots King who's presumed dead. King's bodyguard sees King in cemetery, but doesn't tell police the truth. 2 of the 3 evil uncles say other evil uncle's responsible for making King go missing. 1st evil uncle escapes and it's assumed that he's responsible. Mother believes her son King's safe.

Another story thread is incorporated through the introduction of gangster Bottu Seenu (again played by Nagarjuna), who falls in love with a singer Shravani (Trisha). Shravani does not care for a wastrel like Bottu Seenu, so Seenu poses as a software engineer named Sarath to impress her. Shravani's elder brother (Srihari) knows B.S. but I don't know if Srihari would get mad about B.S. loving Shravani. B.S. pretends to be Sarath who wears tie, shirt, and pant, Srihari gets fooled too. Real sarath (Sunil) imposes Raghu rokda in front of a cop by mistake. Cop mistakes Sarath as B.S. and beats him up really bad in hilarious way. Meanwhile, the villainous uncles send goons to look for King, thinking he's still alive. They run into Seenu and he thrashes them. Same 1st evil uncle proposes a deal to Seenu, and asks him to pose as King and return to the palace. Shravani and Srihari mistaken him as Sharath again. They accompany him to palace. Another twist's that Munna's evil too. He has picture of King's dead body, time, and day. Swapna's none other than Chandu's daughter, but he committed suicide cuz nobody believed him. She and mysterious shooter were hired by Bhagath and mysterious shooter's Baba. Now's she's hired to kill King's bro. King's brother brings home his fiancee Pooja/Swapna. Suddenly, B.S. attacks Pooja, but few seconds later, he has no idea what happened. Srihari believe King's spirit came to get revenge and controlled Sharath. Sharath/B.S. gets engaged to Shravani. Swapna knows that it's not King who's living in the palace right now. Bhagath hires bunch of guys including Baba to dress up in black and kill King's imposter and brother in palace during night. Bhagath doesn't trust girls so tells baba to kill Swapna. Sarath/BS's controlled by King's spirit and saves Deepak from Swapna. Another twist: King's bro met Swapna rt before she killed King. She feels that Deepak depends on his brother too much so he told her to kill King. 3rd twist: BS/Sharath is revealed as King. He calms his bro down. Munna's revealed as a good guy, but captures Baba. Baba reveals his motive for killing Deepak, Swapna, and Swapna is Chandu's daughter. Swapna's told what really happened that day, but doesn't kill Varma. The father and friends who took care of BS were Munna's people. Munna's real name's probably Raghu rokda. Varma says that Deepak's mistake's unforgivable. Varma's family members r feeling sad, so he decides to leave. He dies in an explosion which takes place in his car. Varma's mother leaves and doesn't want anyone to look for her. Everyone else's probably still mad at Deepak. 4th Twist's dat King's still alive. He reveals his plan to Shravani only. Same Bhagath's henchman who kidnapped Deepak at beginning of movie, King told him: "I want u to tell me Bhagath's evil plans." After King got shot, Munna took him to hospital. Swapna's details were fake, so they couldn't find her. He decided to play this double role drama. Bhagath's henchman/King's informer reveals the shooter's working for Bhagath too but didn't find details about Swapna. When King met his evil uncles again, none of them had nothing to do with it. King's informer blew up Varma's car after Varma escaped. This was Varma's plan too. Informer put a bomb inside Bhagath's car too, so King talks to Bhagath on phone before Bhagath dies. King pretends to be Sarath in front of everyone else.

Final Twist: BS/Munna's father and friends were responsible for messing up lights and pulling table with rope in King's palace. They did it to make it look like King's spirit came for revenge.

Plot

A mentally unstable pregnant woman runs inside a temple and closes the door. She gives birth to a boy at the feet of Lord Krishna’s idol and breathes her last. The doors of the temple are closed, as people believe that the birth of such a woman's child in 'garbhagudi' is a bad omen.

The boy, named Arjun (Vishnu Vardhan Babu), grows up under the guardianship of his grandmother (Manorama). He goes to work as a bodyguard to Satya (Mamta Mohandas), the sister of landlord Pedababu (Nassar). Arjun and his grandmother live in the out house of Pedababu’s bungalow. Arjun is ill-treated by everyone. When an astrologer says that Satya’s first husband will be killed and she will live happily with her second husband, Pedababu plans to get Satya married to Arjun first. Then, he conspires to kill him and get Satya married to a rich man.

However, Lord Krishna (Nagarjuna) comes to Arjun's assistance. Arjun gains some powers from his companionship with the Lord and overcomes the evils that threaten his peace and family life. He also succeeds in reopening the doors of the temple. Arjun then dies by jumping of a tall building because of his faith in Lord Krishna who revives him a minute after his death. The film ends on a happy note.

Plot

Ramesh, nicknamed Rummy (Nagarjuna) loves his childhood friend Janaki, who asks him to grow rich and powerful and then marry her. With this motive, Rummy starts gambling and becomes rich in no time.

ACP Sekhar (Sayaji Shinde) takes notice of his activities and attempts to catch him. Rummy then moves to Goa where he meets Chandra (Ankur), a pub owner who also runs gambling in it. Both of them enter into a big deal. While on the task, Rummy rescues Sara (Paula) from Victor. Sara’s sister Nadia (Linda) falls in love with him. Another woman, Sandhya (Mamta Mohandas), enters his life. She helps him in his task. Meanwhile, differences arise between Rummy and Chandra, and they become rivals. Now, how will Rummy encounter the situations? What happened to Janaki? Will he get back to her and marry her?

Victory

Victory is a Telugu film directed by Ravi. C. Kumar, released in 2008. The film stars Nitin Kumar Reddy, Mamta Mohandas, Shashank and Sindhu Tolani in lead roles. The film is produced by Venkat under R.R. Movie Makers.
Nitin plays the role of a vibrant, energetic youngster who is also a well responsible boy. The film throws light on the dreaded Land Mafia. Nitin who fight against them at last wins over them. Mamta Mohandas, well known for her singing and acting skills is an added attraction to the film. Sindhu Tolani and Shashank plays supporting roles in the film.

Kathanayakudu

Jagapatibabu, though popular as family subjects' hero, had several hit films in other subjects too. He had a different image. He is a very good performer too and this was proved with films like 'Hanuman Junction, Gayam, Antahpuram and Samanyudu'. Once again, director P Vasu chose this hero for a deglamourous role which maintains a low profile all through the film, but has a lot of scope for performance. The film explains the value of friendship. The story runs between a rich man and a poor man and their childhood friendship. In order to show the richness, the director chose films which is the most common commodity among the people. People always think that the heroes would earn lakhs of rupees besides a huge image and going near them is a difficult task.
Balu (Jagapatibabu) has a small saloon in a village, which doesn't have the basic requirements like a revolving chair and a good mirror. He has a wife Sri Devi (Meena) and three children including two girls. Sri Devi was very accommodative and has an understanding. However, Balu is unable to make both ends meet with his daily earnings. He is not in a position to pay his child's school fee. He used to say that Super Star Ashokkumar (Rajanikanth) was his childhood friend.
Incidentally, Ashokkumar comes to their village for a 20-day outdoor shooting. Balu's children start pestering him to take them to Ashokkumar, but Balu is quite hesitative as he is not sure whether Ashokkumar could identify him. If Ashokkumar did not recognise him, Balu might be necked out and that would be not only an insult to his friendship, but also Balu would lose the prestige before his family. At this juncture, the school principal (Gita) comes to Balu and pleads with him to invite Ashokkumar as chief guest for the silver jubilee function of the school, which Balu could not.
Somehow, the college management gets the appointment of Ashokkumar and invite him to the school function. Ashokkumar accepts their invitation and reels out his experiences in childhood and talks great about his friend Balu. Did Balu meet Ashokkumar even after realising that he did not forget him? What Ashokkumar did when he learns about Balu? Is that lecture at the school function is like filmy dialogues or did he really remember his friend? Answers to all these questions form part of climax.
Performance:
Jagapatibabu gave a brilliant and excellent performance all through the film. Especially, doing such a character, especially the role of a barber, is great for a hero with some stature. Moreover, the character was completely deglamorous and had a very low profile. But Jagapatibabu really lived in the character. His histrionics and body language were perfect to the core and director was able to extract all the acting talents from Jagapatibabu.
Meena, who played opposite Jagapatibabu, also did complete justice to the role. She appeared on the screen after a long gap, but was good to watch as the mother of three children. She lost her weight considerable and appeared glamorous.
Rajanikanth played the real life role in the film. He maintained his usual style and appeared glamorous in the film. He has not much scope to perform in many of the scenes in the first half and most part of the second half as well.
However, it was he who mesmerised the audiences with his performance in the climax. Veteran playback singer SP Balasubrahmanyam lent his voice to Rajanikanth. His dialogue modulation perfectly suited the style of Rajanikanth, especially while delivering the lecture in a school function, where he narrates the value of friendship.
Nayanatara also played the real life role in the movie.
Comedy by Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam, Sunil, Ali, MS Narayana and others are okay and was able to tickle the funny bone of the audiences, especially when the movement of the film is giving boredom.
Technical:
Padma Shri Thota Tarani, who was responsible for excellent sets for Rajanikant's latest film Sivaji, once again came up fantastic sets for this film too.
Camera work by Arun Krishna is okay. The most notable technician for the film after the director is the dialogue writer. Marudhuri Raja penned dialogues for the film, which are very good and casual. Dialogues in the climax were quite heart-touching.
Editing is perfect in the film, as the audiences can't find even a single scene which is irrelevant and boring. Above all, it is P Vasu who needs compliments for coming out with another good film. After a blockbuster like 'Chandramukhi', he came out with another notable film. As was rightly said by Rajanikant during the preview of the film, such movies would come very rarely. The director was able to maintain the friendship thread in a peculiar way. Though the story appears dragging till the climax, the audiences never feel boredom with occasional and timely comedy track.
Music by GV Prakash Kumar, the nephew of AR Rahman is melodious and the audio was a big hit even before the release of the film. Especially the song penned on the making of a film was worth listening, with good literary values.
Remark:
Though the hero of the film is Jagapatibabu in reality, the producer and director chose to highlight Rajanikanth, keeping in view the saleability of the film. Though Rajanikant appeared on the screen for less than 45 to 60 minutes, the film made a business of more than Rs 60 crore, just because of the image of Rajanikanth. The film proved a tear-jerker in the climax. The audiences who pay a price of Rs 50 for the ticket would feel satisfied with the last 20 minutes' of the movie.

Chintakayala Ravi (Telugu: చింతకాయల రవి) is a 2008 romantic comedy Telugu Cinema starring Venkatesh, Mamta Mohandas and Anushka Shetty.

Plot

Chintakayala Ravi (Venkatesh) works in a bar named Cyber Wave in New York. He is a head waiter; he works with his three friends who also are waiters at the same bar. He has a soft spot for software engineers because he came to the US with the dream of becoming a software pro. Unavoidable circumstances prevented him from reaching that goal.

His mother Seshamamba (Lakskmi) tells everybody in her village in Andhra Pradesh that her son is big software engineer in America. Ravi is hit hard with a sentiment; for the sole reason of not wanting to hurt his mother's feelings, he continues to tell her the sweet lie that he truly is a software engineer in America.

However, problems arise when Seshamamba gets ready to marry her son to Lavanya (Mamta Mohandas),a local village girl, because Lavanya believes Seshamamba when she says that Ravi is a software engineer. So, when Lavanya asks her childhood buddy, Sunitha (Anushka), to enquire about Ravi, the truth comes out that he's a bar waiter. Her family gets angry that Ravi's family lied to them, and when Ravi arrives in the village for betrothal, he is subjected to humiliation. What happens later forms the remaining story. He troubles Sunitha. Later he saves Sunitha and Sunitha understands how a good person Ravi is when he saves her father. She aims a rejoining Ravi & Lavanya. Plot

Raja(Jr. NTR), an orphan, is a ruthless robber. He dreams of earning a fast buck so that he can settle down in life. And then, he stumbles on a fine opportunity. Mahi (Priyamani), a rich heiress, falls in love with him. The girl happens to be his childhood well-wisher and has always considered him her prince.

He plans to surrender the girl to a gang who wants to kill her for her riches. But the villains play foul, and kill him. Raja reaches Yamaloka. He creates confusion in Yamaloka by stealing Yamapasam since one in possession of Yamapasam will become Yama. The rest of the story is all about how Yama (Mohan Babu) and Raja try to outsmart each other. After regaining power, Yama sends Raja back to earth, but only to take away his life once again.
