Mickey J Meyer (Telugu: మిక్కి జే మేrర్) is an Indian music composer and singer. He is a soundtrack composer in contemporary Telugu Cinema and is based in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India.
His work has mostly seen hints of Western music. He owes this to his schooling from the Trinity College of Music, London.
Mickey J Meyer was born and brought up in Hyderabad, India. He was a student of St.Mary's College in Yousufguda, Hyderabad. He had been learning violin and grand piano from his childhood. He is also trained in Carnatic music. After his fifth standard, he got admission into the prestigious Trinity College of Music, London. He graduated from the eight-year long music course in the year 2002 and thereafter began practicing music.
The success of the film led to remakes of the film in Kannada and Tamil languages, Mickey J Meyer was retained as the music director in both the films (Jolly Days and Inidhu Inidhu respectively) and his entry into other Indian film industries happened. Following this breakthrough album, he got the opportunities to compose the scores and songs for the Telugu films Hare Ram and Kotha Bangaru Lokam, which slowly established him in the Telugu film industry. Later he delivered two musical entertainers namely Leader and Maro Charitra which proved his talent with well matured score. He also worked as one of the four music directors in the move namely AOD - Anaganaga O Dheerudu (Once Upon a Knight) for only one song "Chandamamala" with a very soothing effects on the traditional folk song. He has also composed the title song of the serial YUVA(2008 Maa TV Serial) in maa TV.

Career
According to Mickey, he got addicted to music because of A. R. Rahman -who he hails as an inspiration and his most favourite musician- as he grew up listening to Rahman's music mostly. After graduating from Trinity College, in 2005, he decided to become a music director. He approached Tammareddy Bharadwaja and in the form of Pothe Poni (2005), he got his first break in the Telugu music industry. His music for Pothe Poni was succeeded by 10th Class (2006) and Notebook (2007) in the following years. Thereafter, he was signed by Sekhar Kammula for the film Happy Days, which was widely noticed and lauded and was considered as one of the best albums of the year. Consequently, he was awarded the Best Music Director Award at the three major Telugu Film Awards (Filmfare Awards South, Nandi Awards and CineMAA Awards) for the film.
