Plot

Jaani (Chiranjeevi) runs a small time restaurant/casino with his partner Bhillu (Nagendra Babu). One fine day he helps two women( Radha & Suhasini), stuck with their broken car and gives them a drive. Utpala (suhasini) succeeds in an interview, by remembering jaani's answer and gets a job as nurse in an hospital.Jaani and his partner also help Radha to get a job by blocking the competitor.One day, Naga babu discovers cocaine in an egg in his kitchen and they start investigating the source of this egg. They discover this to be from Pogaku Subbarao (Gollapudi)'s store. This unfolds the links between a seemingly businessman, gollapudi and underworld Don, Vasanta Dada (Suresh Oberoi). They also offer jobs to unemployed and use them to sell their body parts. Utpala's unemployed brother Sharma (prasad babu) gets into their trap and leaves home. Utpala reaches jaani for help to talk to her brother. Jaani discovers that the phone number given to contact her brother is in the same city and starts exploring into this. Meanwhile Radha lodges a complaint against gollapudi and his son, sudhakar about their dark secrets. Salim (Ranjeeth), a left hand of suresh oberoi, disguises himself as a police and asks radha to come with him for enquiry.When he attempts a rape, Jaani saves her and both fall in love and also start exploring Oberoi's kingdom. They discover that prasad, escaped from oberoi's den and left a letter with Utpala, explaining every activity in underworld.But Prasad, the lone witness of underworld, is killed in hospital by Salim. When Jaani and Radha attack Oberoi, they're captured and left in a desert as a prey for vultures. But using a magnifying glass, dropped by gollapudi, they free themselves and attack oberoi. In the final clash, nagababu is killed, trying to save jaani.Furious jaani kills salim and oberoi. Jaani marries Radha, and is shown travelling with kids.

Plot

Gopi (Chiranjeevi) is a music master brought up by Satyanarayana and Nutan prasad in a village. He wants to become a police constable. Surya Chandra Rao (Kota Srinivasa Rao) is a rich man in the village with his daughter Radha (Bhanupriya) who is head strong and proud of her riches. In a brawl with Gopi, she seeks revenge and acts as his disciple wanting to learn music and later accuses him of attempting to rape her with the help of new SI of the village Asirayya (Mohan Babu) but later realises her mistake and his good nature and falls in love with him. Though reluctant to marry her, Gopi is convinced to accept her into his life and they marry. Surya Chandra Rao is enraged by this and sends a goon to kill him and in a fight the goon loses and Gopi leaves him at Surya Chandra Rao's house warning him not to enter his life again. The goon is killed by Surya Chandra Rao and Gopi is accused of his murder and is put in jail. The rest of the story forms on how Gopi proves his innocence and how he brings the villains to justice.

Plot

Kaali (Chiranjeevi) is a small town rowdy who helps his community with his earnings. He is good at heart and is loved by everyone in town. He works for Kotayya (Kota Srinivasa Rao) whose rival is Gollapudi. Once when he goes to warn Gollapudi he meets and falls in love with Radha (Radha), Gollapudi's daughter. When they decide to marry with or without permission from him, he gets Kaali killed in an accident and Kaali goes to hell. There he challenges Yama Satyanarayana) that he was brought wrongly and catches Chitragupta (Allu Rama Lingaiah) red handedly for cheating. In a fit to correct the mistake Yama and Chitragupta leave to Earth to find the body and return to take him with them to put his back to life, but unfortunately his body is burnt and Kaali refuses to enter another body. So they try to convince him to enter into one of his identical persons. He refuses due to some warnings by Vichitragupta (Velu). Then they show him another body of Balu (Chiranjeevi) in a village and tell him it is his last option. Kaali learns the past of Balu, a soft spoken and non-confrontational man who is often ill-treated by his family. Vijayashanti holds his love interest. They plan to kill him on his 25th birthday as they have to hand over his property. That's where Kaali's soul is put into his body and he plays black and blue with them. However, he doesn't remember his past as Kaali once he sees Kotayya's photo in a newspaper and remembers his other life and returns to city. The rest of the plot is woven on how he balances the two lives and two girl friends till the very last test by Yama to prove his credibility in his love and willing to save all the people he loves.

The movie was one of the Super hit in 1988 and had 100 days run in 12 centers.

Plot

The film is about the ideological clash between a young man, Suryam (Chiranjeevi), and his father, Bilahari Ganapathi Sastry (Gemini Ganesan). While the father believes that music and his life are for salvation, the son strives for a better society.

They part ways after Suryam decides to teach his father a lesson by representing the need for social awareness in a concert. Sastry hates this idea of polluting the sacredness of music by individualism and promotes another disciple ignoring Suryam.

Fed up with his father's refusal to identify him, Suryam leaves home. He finds solace with Lalita (Shobana) and her family. Sastry, who believes in the supremacy of caste over humanity, tries to break their relationship by instigating drunkards from the village whom Suryam has sworn to reform. Suryam vows not to marry in exchange for the drunkards reforming themselves.

Sastry takes a major blow when the disciple he groomed later marries his daughter and abhors him from singing Sastry's favorite raga - The Bilahari.

Finally, Sastry changes his chauvinistic self, when the Indian government recognizes Suryam's efforts at social reform and the Prime Minister of India himself comes to his village to felicitate Suryam. He realizes his son's ideals and proudly addresses himself as Suryam's father rather than a great musician.

Manchi Donga (Telugu: మంచి దొంగ, English: Good Thief) is a 1988 Telugu film directed by K. Raghavendra Rao. The film stars Chiranjeevi, Vijayashanti and Suhasini Mani Ratnam.

Plot

Manchi Donga, has Chiranjeevi as Veerendra who liked by one and all. Even though he is a thief, Veerendra he follows certain principles. Suryam and Chandram are father and son who are involved in an illegal occupation. Madhavi (Suhasini) who is a lawyer, meets Veerendra and she is attracted towards him for his kindheartedness towards poor people. Vijaya (Vijayasanthi), a friend of Madhavi enters the city as a police inspector. She warns Veerendra for his activities but Madhavi supports him. Once Veerendra steals an evidence from Gannayya, who is also a corrupt person and this has all the details of the activities of Suryam and Chandram. He hands it over to inspector Vijaya. She is very much impressed with his deed and now develops a soft corner for him. After a couple of songs, veerendra decides to marry Vijaya, while Madhavi sacrifices her silent love for her friend. Veerendra surrenders to the police and is sent to jail. He studies in jail and becomes a police inspector. After his release, he deals with anti-social elements with iron hand and also gets sword of honour for his efforts.

Plot

Sambaiah (Chiranjeevi) is a cobbler who raises his dead sister's son Chinna (Arjun/Sirish) while also financing the education of the orphaned Sharada (Sumalatha). He also nurses a love crush and intends to marry her someday.

In a turn of events, Sharada marries Bhaskar (Sarvadaman Banerjee) and Ganga (Vijayashanti) who has also nursed a love towards Sambaiah, has a tubectomy in order to marry Sambaiah. She does it so that she would be a completely dedicated mother to Chinna. After initial struggles, Ganga and Sambaiah become wealthy.

Chinna's biological father Govind (Charan Raj) who is a criminal returns from prison and teams up with Ganga's father (a no-good father, role with villain shades) to make a series of demands on Sambaiah and to claim Chinna's guardianship.

Eventually, Chinna rebels against his father and both he and Sambaiah return to latter's modest original profession of cobbler.

Plot

Madhu (Chiranjeevi) is a painter who becomes a drunkard since his wife gets killed immediately after their marriage in an accident. He leads a careless life until a kid (Baby Sujitha) who is deaf and vocally challenged (dumb), enters his life. He names him Raja and takes care of him however, he doesn't stop drinking. Raja's parents are murdered by Venu (Raghuvaran) and his assistant and Raja is the witness to murder who is tried to be getting rid of by them. Geeta (Vijayashanti) meets the kid in a shopping place and mistakes him to be Madhu's son and fights with them when the kid accidentally breaks her just bought gift and later realises her mistake and comes to apologise to Madhu's house. She befriends the kid and gradually falls for chiru. Later she comes to know that the kid is none other than her sister's (Rajyalakshmi) son and she was murdered. Chiru is accused of murder and kidnap, and is arrested by Inspector (Prabhakar). But they realise that he is not the actual killer and is released. However Venu and his assistant keep trying to kill the kid and they are almost successful when Madhu is out drunk one night but saves him in the last minute. This changes him and he gives up drinking. The rest of the story is how the villains are slain and Madhu and Geetha marry and adopt the kid. This is a remake of "Poovinnu Puthiya Poonthennal", a malayalam Movie starring Mammootty.

Plot

The story portrays an illiterate Puliraju(Chiranjeevi), who is a small time rowdy in a small town. He meets Jennifer (Suhasini), who arrives in that town as a school teacher. Suhasini slaps and accuses him for ill-treating his mother. Puliraju, instead of taking revenge on her, gets attracted towards her and manages to join as her student. Over a period of time, chiru transforms in his looks, behaviour and leaves his past life back. Over few reels, they both get attracted towards each other, but neither of them express their feelings. His mother, surprised by changes in his behaviour brings his maradalu(Radhika) from his village and tries to marry him off. At the same time, suhasini's family friend Rajasekhar arrives and her father plans her marriage with him. Puliraju, struggling with change within himself is attacked by his old enemies and is hospitalized. Suhasini reaches the hospital, understands his love towards her and they both unite in the climax.

Plot

Ravi Teja (Chiranjeevi) is an industrialist, who owns a textile company. He is a successful person in business but his personal life lacks harmony and peace. Tortured by his wife Madhavi and her mother, he finds life miserable. Meanwhile, his opponents cannot digest his success in business and plan to stop him from getting yet another business deal. Here, he meets Nagaraju (Chiranjeevi), who is a small-time thief. Ravi Teja is saved by Nagaraju and he plans to exchange their positions, so that his problems can be solved forever. Nagaraju agrees, and teaches madhavi, her mother, and Ravi Teja's enemies a lesson. Ravi Teja faces a strange situation of leading a thief's lifestyle. He encounters Radhika, who is also a small time thief. In the end, they both reveal their true identities and end the story on a happy note.
