Story

Abhimanyu (Kalyan Ram Nandamuri) is a college going student and his mother Janaki (Suhasini) is a physically handicapped lady. Jaleel Khan (Pavan Malhotra) is a landlord at Cudappah, who hates the word called love. Sairabanu (Spandana) is his daughter who wants to do her further studies in Hyderabad. Jaleel Khan is not comfortable with that idea, but sends his daughter to Hyderabad with a firm instruction that she should concentrate on studies and avoid indulging any other activities.
Sairabanu - with her guardians (Ali & Rajitha) - rents a place which is in the first floor of Abhiram's house. Sairabanu & Abhimanyu's introduction starts with teasing and slowly the forbidden thing happens. They fall in love. And Jaleel Khan comes to know about it and takes his daughter back to Cudappah.
When Abhimanyu visits Cudappah to meet his love Sairabanu, he comes to know that there is a remote connection to his family and Sairabanu's family. The rest of the film is all about finding the connection between the two families and then marry his lady love with the permission of elders from both the sides.
Artists Performance
Kalyan Ram Nandamuri: Kalyan Ram Nandamuri has excelled in each and every department with his measured performance by getting into the skin of the character. He exhibited good comedy timing, excelled in fights, shown great ease in dances, improved his dialogue delivery and transcended in emotional scenes. And at the same time, he never dominated any of the proceedings gave priority to story and narration. More importantly, he is looking very glamorous in 'Abhimanyu' compared to his debut film. He it appeared more apt when he said 'Maa vamsamlo andaru andagaalle' in this film.
Others: Spandana suited well the role of Muslim girl. She is spontaneous as well. Pavan Malhotra is terrific as the righteous Muslim father in that getup and he is good as usual. Suhasini excelled as the mother of hero and she gave a sensible performance in emotional scenes. Showkar Janaki played the sympathetic grand mother of heroine and she had an important role in climax when she convinces Pavan Malhotra. Venu Madhav provided good comedy as a buddy of hero. After a long gap Telangana Sakuntala got a different role.
Technical Departments:
Story: Story of the film is little different. It's a love story with a backdrop of undercurrent religion and family conflicts.
Screenplay - direction: The work of the director Mallikharjuna - a protégé of Puri Jagannadh - is neat. The character of hero has shades of three religions because he is born to a Christian father and a Muslim mother and he is brought up by a Hindu mother. He also made the film without hurting sentiments of any of these religions. Narration of the film is little slow, but the execution is pretty smooth. Mallikharjuna handled the sentimental scenes in the film with authority.
Dialogues: Dialogues by Chintapally Ramana are good. He wrote good humorous and emotional dialogues. There are quite a few dialogues referring to Nandamuri vamsam as well. One particular mass dialogue that impressed everybody is -
Rowdy student: Nuvve kaadu, mee nanna, mee taata vachina nannemi cheyyaleru.
Kalyan Ram: Nenu ninnu kottaananuko chastu batukutaavu. Ade maa nannani taluchukoni kottanante okka debba tho chastav. Ade maa taatani taluchukunnanante kotte lopale chastav'
Music: Music by Mani Sharma is good. He used western instruments (rock & metal guitar) for the first two songs in the film. And his skills in giving background music are excellent. We realise the greatness of Mani Sharma's re-recording when you watch the re-recording of some films done by a few new music directors.
Other departments: Camera work by Srinivasa Reddy is impressive. He enhanced the looks of artists with his camerawork. Fights by Ram Shetty are good.
Production: Producer Rock Line Venkatesh has done a good by producing the film with high production values. Presenter C Aswini Dutt's Midas touch also helped the film.
Analysis: First half of the film deals with love story. Interval bang is the separation. Second half deals with hero fighting back to marry his lady love. First half is decent. The tempo in second half gone down a bit. But the lead scenes to climax and the climax are shot well. There is tremendous response in theater when Suhasini asks hero to go fetch back the heroine in climax. Just the way Aswini Dutt's 'Student No.1' gave lift to career of NTR (Jr), Abhimanyu film would be giving lift to Kalyan Ram's career. Abhimanyu is a minimum guarantee film that has fair chances to become hit with right kind of promotion.

Career

Following in his family's footsteps, Naga Chaitanya's debut was widely anticipated. After several rumours regarding his debut, during the audio launch of his father's King, Chaitanya was introduced to the film world where his debut film was launched. Josh, directed by newcomer Vasu Varma and produced by Dil Raju, featured him alongside fellow debutant Karthika Nair, daughter of Radha, with his role drawing comparison with his father's character from Shiva. However upon release, the film fared averagely at the box office and received negative reviews from film critics, although Naga Chaitanya's performance secured him the Filmfare Best Male Debut Award for South Indian films.

This was the Telugu version of the Tamil film, Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya. He also made a cameo appearance in the Tamil version.
His next movie was Sukumar's 100% Love with Tamannaah Bhatia has gained success in the box office. His next movie Dhada with Kajal Aggarwal directed Ajay Bhuyan released in August with huge expectations was a colossal failure. His next movie is Bejawada produced by Ram Gopal Varma. Siddharth

Siddharth (born 17 April 1979) is an Indian film actor, who primarily acts in Telugu films. He occasionally works as a playback singer and screenplay writer as well. After his business management studies, Siddharth chose to work in film making and worked as an assistant director before making his acting debut in the 2003 Tamil film Boys. In the subsequent years, he has worked in many Telugu, Tamil and Hindi films.

Siddharth was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He studied at DAV Boys' Senior Secondary School, Chennai and Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Delhi. He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) degree from Kirori Mal College, New Delhi. Siddharth was part of the reputed theatre group of the college, The Players. He was also president of the college's debating society and attended the World Debating Championships. He went on to complete his MBA in 2001 from S. P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai.

Career

Siddharth has stated that direction was his "ultimate dream". After finishing his education at age 21, Siddharth landed the role of assistant director for Mani Ratnam's Kannathil Muthamittal. The script writer of that film, Sujatha, were insistent that Siddharth auditioned for S. Shankar's Boys which would feature five debutant actors. After consulting with Mani Ratnam, he met Shankar, auditioned, and got the role of Munna. The film was a moderate success in Tamil but the dubbed version in Telugu gave Siddharth an opening in the Telugu film industry. Siddharth then appeared in another Tamil film, Mani Ratnam's Aayutha Ezhuthu (2004), after which he would shift focus and concentrate on Telugu-language projects. His first direct Telugu project, Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana released in early 2005. The comedy-drama film, marking the directorial debut of choreographer-turned-actor Prabhu Deva, became a commercial blockbuster as well as a critical success, with Siddharth winning his first Filmfare Best Actor Award for his portrayal of Santhosh,  a playful NRI, who fights for his love. Siddharth, subsequently, also ventured into the writing forum as well as the singing forum as he wrote the screenplay for his next Telugu film Chukkallo Chandrudu (2006) directed by Siva Kumar and sang as a playback singer. He next debuted in Bollywood as part of the critically acclaimed blockbuster Rang De Basanti which also starred Aamir Khan. Siddharth received the Star Screen Debut Award for his role as Karan Singhania in the film. Siddharth's final release of 2006 was Bommarillu, directed by then newcomer Bhaskar. The film, revolving around a father-son relationship, received critical acclaim and garnered box office success, too. He worked with director Vishal Bhardwaj and Oscar winning cinematographer Guillermo Navarro on a short film titled Blood Brothers, which premiered at the 2007 Toronto International Film Festival as part of Mira Nair's AIDS Jaago project.
After the above average grossing Aata in 2007, Siddharth took a sabbatical and did not have a release for 20 months. In 2009, his Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam opposite Tamannaah received good responses from critics and audiences. Siddharth played the lead role in debutant director Anand Ranga's Oy!, which achieved box office success despite mixed reviews. His first release of 2010 was Striker, his second Bollywood venture that portrayed the life of a carrom player. It became the first Indian film to be released in theatres and on YouTube on the same day. His other release that year was the Telugu film Baava, a village-based romantic family entertainer, shot in places like Palakollu, Razole, Rajahmundry and Hyderabad. His first release of 2011, Prakash Kovelmundi's fantasy epic Anaganaga O Dheerudu was produced by veteran K. Raghavendra Rao. He was next seen in the Tamil-Telugu bilingual 180 by Jayendra, which performed poorly at the box office. His third release of the year was Oh My Friend, directed by debutant Venu Sriram, which opened to mixed reviews but went on to garner positive response. In 2012, Siddharth first starred in the bilingual romantic comedy Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi (Tamil) / Love Failure (Telugu), based on the same-titled short film by Balaji Mohan, which fetched critical acclaim. He has signed up a Tamil film to be directed by an associate director of Vetrimaaran.
