Plot

Punnagai Desam movie is about Raja(Kunal), Selvam(Hamsavardhan) and Vijay(Dhamu) are three friends harboring different ambitions of succeeding in life. Raja is an aspiring singer; Selvam wants to be a collector while Vijay hopes to make his name as a mimickry artist. Finding no support from their parents, they move to Madras and struggle to find a break.

An old friend Ganesh(Tarun) has come to the city with hopes of marrying his uncle's daughter(Sneha) but the uncle, now a rich man, dashes his hopes. He moves in with the three friends and putting aside his own dreams, helps them achieve theirs.

Venkateswarlu (Ravi Teja) is a wayward youth in Vizag who roams around with his friends all the time. One day he - along with his three buddies - accidentally gets selected in police selections. Venky and his friends embark on a journey from Vizag to Hyderabad to join police academy for the training. He falls in love with a co-passenger Sravani (Sneha) aboard the train. Sravani refuses the instant proposal of Venky. He also picks up a row in a state of inebriation with Sravani's father and another girl and threatens them that he would kill them. And surprisingly, Sravani's father and other girl found dead on their berths on the next day morning. After realizing that they would be blamed for a murder committed by somebody else, Venky and his gang slips off from the train and join the police training academy. There they realize that their boss Yogendra Sharma (Ashutosh Rana) is responsible for the murders in the train. Why does Yogendra want to kill Sravani and her father is the mysterious question that would be solved by Venky.

Rest of the story is all about how Venky protects Sravani and how he brings Yogendra Sharma to the book.

Plot

The film starts with the penance of Sage Bhadra who becomes a hill with the blessings of Lord Rama. In later centuries, Dammakka, the tribal lady and worshiper of Lord Rama unearths and looks after the idols of Rama on the hill and awaits someone who can construct a temple there. On the other hand, Gopanna and his cousin Kamala fall in love and marry after a small conflict with their parents. After the marriage, Tanisha, the emperor of Golconda, with the recommendation of Akkanna and Madanna (the uncles of Gopanna), appoints Gopanna as Tehsildar of Husnabad. Thus, a Muslim who had been the Tehsildar to the place is dethroned for the sake of Gopanna. That ignites disgust among a few groups who attempt to murder Gopanna. However, Dammakka saves him while he lies unconscious on the bank of Godavari. She shows him the place of Bhadragiri and Gopanna becomes an ardent devotee of Rama. After a series of incidents, he decides to construct the Rama Mandir on the hill. He collects funds from people and with the help of Kabirdas, his guru, completes the construction of temple. Lord Rama, Lakshmana, Seetha and Anjaneya live in invisible forms in the place during the construction. They keep on guarding Gopanna until he accomplishes his mission. Thus, with immense bhakthi on Lord Rama, Gopanna becomes Ramadasu.

The enemies of Ramadasu pass on negative message to Tanisha about him, stating that he constructed the temple with money taken from other people without the king's permission. Exasperated, Tanisha imprisons Ramadasu. After many ordeals faced by Ramadasu in prison, Lord Rama and Lakshmana appear to Tanisha in a dream and pay the required amount to him. Then Tanisha releases Ramadasu from prison and discovers that the two who cleared the debt were Lord Rama and Lakshmana. After being released from prison, Ramadasu is frustrated that he never obtained a darshanam (appearance/glimpse) of Rama. He realizes that Rama is in his heart and cuts open his chest. Sri Rama and Sitamma appear from his heart and heal his wounds. Rama offers Gopanna the chance to go to Vaikunta as a living man, a boon granted to few. When Gopanna asks what is there in Vaikunta (Heaven), Rama says there is only happiness and no need to pray. However, Gopanna can only find happiness in saying Rama's name. As the only man ever to refuse heaven, Rama grants his wish: Ramadasu's spirit will remain forever in the Bhadrachalam Temple. The movie ends with Kancherla Gopanna, now Sri Ramadasu, looking down fondly at the temple in modern day.

Plot

The film is set in the Nelakondapalli village of Adilabad district in Nizam Princely State of Hyderabad of the late 1940s. The feudal society is under the vice-like grip of an aristocratic family and its head, a Dorasani (Shwetha Menon). Mallamma (Baby Annie) is the darling of the village, who is living in perpetual humiliation. They seek solace in her songs. Brought up by Sambayya, an old man, she develops a mysterious attachment to a basil tree which is regarded as holy by the entire village.
She happens to sing a song in the Dorasani's house which enrages her. Since nobody can have a skill which her daughter has not been able to acquire, she decrees that Mallamma cannot sing if she wants to be alive. However, singing is in her very marrow. After all, she is the daughter of Rajanna, who had inspired hundreds of villagers to revolt against the evil lords through his revolutionary songs.
When the Dorasani finds Mallamma singing for another time, she decides to hound her and kill. The grandpa wants to take her away, but Mallamma refuses to oblige. It is then when she tells him that she cannot abandon the village where she Rajanna meets her every day. Dorasani, who overhears Sambayya telling her that she is Rajanna's progeny, kills him. A heroine that she is, Mallamma stages an escape with the help of the music teacher (Nassar) and sets off to Delhi to meet Nehru (Prime minister). The Rajanna story
After killing over a hundred British officers, Rajanna (Akkineni Nagarjuna) is a proud son of a free India. Much to his dismay, he finds the villagers of Nelakondavalli still in servitude and radicalises them to massacre the oppressors. The revolution spreads to hundreds of villages and the nawabs are shaken. Unable to repress the warfare on their own, the local lords seek the help of the evil Razakars.
Ever at the forefront to save the village, Rajanna leads a guerrilla warfare with his four comrades (a Muslim, a Tamil Brahmin, a Punjabi and a Maharashtrian) and achieves martyrdom after fighting hundreds of Razakar desperadoes to the finish.
Rajanna lives on in the memories of the people of Nelakondavalli. His spirit arouses Mallamma to put up a never-say-die attitude and rid the village of the beastly doras.

Madhumasam

Madhumasam (Telugu: మధుమాసం) is a Telugu film produced by D. Ramanaidu and directed by Chandra Siddhartha. The film has Sumanth, Sneha, and Parvati Melton in lead roles. This film released on 9th February. 2007 and was a hit at the box office having a run of over a hundred days in a few centres.

Plot

Sanjay (Sumanth) is an extremely practical guy who believes in nothing but logic and reasoning. He listens to his mind and ignores his heart. Hamsa Vahini (Sneha) is a girl who believes strongly in human bonds and trusts everybody easily. Hamsa likes Sanjay immensely and proposes to marry him. Sanjay too accepts the proposal. In a casual chitchat, Sanjay reveals that he does not love her though he is marrying her. He feels that it is a marriage of convenience and practicality. Sanjay's confession hurts Hamsa and she cancels the engagement. As Sanjay slowly realizes the power of love and starts missing her, Hamsa becomes pragmatic and practical due to her family related circumstances, and ignores his pleas for forgiveness. The rest of the story is all about how she finally accepts Sanjay's love.

Amaravathi

Amaravathi is a 2009 Indian Telugu-language thriller film written and directed by Anasuya fame Ravi Babu, starring Sneha and Bhoomika in lead roles, with Ravi Babu himself, Sindhura Gadde and Taraka Ratna essaying supporting roles. The film commenced from 26 July 2009 and was completed filming within a span of 4 months and the movie reportedly do not have any music charts but the background music was a plus for the film. Plot

The film begins in a village that was historically known to have been famous for pearls. Adolescent children, Seenu and Amaravathi, are friends who love to spend time at the village's lake, with the Seenu going on an endless search for pearls in the water for Amaravathi. While Amaravathi is the daughter of a rich man in the village, Seenu is the son of his maidservant. Amaravathi's father does not like the closeness Seenu shares with Amaravathi and warns his mother against their friendship. One day, after searching for hours, Seenu ultimately finds the 10 pearls in the lake, which he decides to take to Amaravathi. Amaravathi always wants 10 of everything - a detail that will later become an important clue in the mystery of the story.
Amaravathi's father beats Seenu when he sees him trying to get to her. Later, thinking that her father has left, Seenu goes up to Amaravathi's room. But the two are caught together by Amaravathi's father who suddenly returns. Upon seeing them having fallen down on top of each other by accident, Amaravathi's father suspects a physical relationship between the two, and so he slits the throat of Seenu. He then throws him into the lake, and runs Seenu's mother over with his jeep when she ran over to try to save her son.
After the credits roll, a series of macabre incidents are shown in which an unidentified person goes about cutting babies from the wombs of several 9-month pregnant mothers. Another parallel story is also revealed where Venkat (Ravi Babu) an Agent of the Special Task Force, has been taking care of his wife, Latha (Sneha), for the last fifteen months due to having a self-inflicted bullet injury. But soon, Venkat is enlisted by his superiors to take on the case of the womb-raider. It is later revealed that the criminal is now after Latha, who is also 9 months pregnant! The rest of the film deals with how the womb-raider is related to the story of Seenu (now portrayed by Taraka Ratnal) and Amaravathi (now portrayed by Bhumika Chawla), why the criminal is after Latha and how Venkat saves his wife and child from the criminal.

Plot

Raghavendra (Venkatesh), Vishnu (Srikanth), Chinna (Siva Balaji) and Vamsi (Sharwanand) are brothers. Raghavendra and Padma (Arti Agarwal) fall in love and they are relatives as well. They get engaged with the consent of their parents. But Raghavendra's family loses everything they have due to certain incidents. Padma's parents reject Raghavendra on the basis of poverty. Raghavendra decides that he should make good money, buy a house and have all comforts before marriage. He achieves his targets. Then he marries a good-hearted and responsible girl Anjali(Sneha). Later on, they settle Vishnu's match with the sister (Sangeeta) of Padma. Vishnu's wife is a woman of jealous nature and short temper. Due to her jealous behavior, there are certain problems. Plot

Prem (Gopichand) lives with his friends in the city. His dream is to own a bike, and with some help from his rural agriculturist father (L.B. Sriram), he does get it. However, on the first night itself it gets punctured, and because there is no mechanic around so late, Prem decides to park it in a nearby house for the night. The door is opened by a very pretty girl Soumya (Sneha), and the smitten and dumbstruck Prem manages to explain his predicament and leaves the bike and keys. The next morning when he goes to pick up the bike, he doesn't find it, and the girl and her father (Chandramohan) completely deny any knowledge. Our man understandably gets riled and creates a ruckus, but to no avail. The story progresses and a thief is caught who admits to having burgled the house in question that night. But the father continues to stoutly deny any such happening. This obviously creates some confusion, and then the burglar reveals that he also raped the daughter. There has to be a villain somewhere - enter wicked son-in-law Kailash (Ravishankar), who is the husband of the elder daughter.

here are very few directors who have managed to strike congruence between cinema for the masses and the classes. If K Vishwanath is a doyen for Telugu cinema, K Balachandar holds the forte in Tamil cinema. Remember some of his Telugu movies like Anthuleni Katha and Amma Katha? Well he is back to the big screen after successful television serials, in the Temal - Telugu bilingual Paravasam.The tale revolves around four key characters - Dr. Madhava (Mahdavan), Simi Sheela (Sneha) and Andam (Lawrance). Madhava is a doctor who becomes an overnight star thanks to acting in one film. His tryst with tinsel town makes him a household name and heartthrob of young girls.Madhava webs Simi. They lead a happy married life almost a year until Rekha, a college friend of Madhava visits them. Rekha reveals that she and Madhava had a child out of wedlock. At first, Simi dismisses Rekha as someone trying to create havoc in her celebrity\'s husband\'s life. Hell breaks lose after Maddy accepts the fact. Simi opts for a divorce. Meanwhile, Simi loses her father, her only support, in an accident. She is left with loads of debt to clear. Madhava helps her out of the crisis and protects her from miscreants. They grow to love each other after divorce but are hesitant to reveal themselves. In a turn of events, Simi thinks that Madhava loves Sheela. With no hopes of living with Madhava, she decides to wed the fusion dancer Andam, whom she had known before.Madhava who still loves Simi is shocked by her decision but goes all out to make her happy and arranges for her second marriage. Meanwhile, Simi wants Madhava to wed Sheela. Both the weddings are scheduled at the same venue. Do Maddy and Simi come together in all this confusion?It\'s the director\'s 100th film and marks his return to silver screen after a hiatus of five years. As always, he excels in the deft use of symbolism to convey messages. The meeting between Madhavan and Simran at the isolated railway station first before marriage and again before divorce is a classical example. Lyricist Vaali chips in with a short role trying to cement the straining relationships.Madhavan essays his part with effortless brilliance. He excels as the heartthrob in the first half and as a pining husband in the latter half. It\'s been quite sometime since we have seen Simran as her usual self. This is one more feather to her cap after Vaali, Kalisundam Raa and Nuvvu Vastavani. Choreographer Lawrance comes up with a good performance with his fusion dance. But, the song in climax just gets on to your nerves.AR Rehman\'s music score has some catchy songs. The melodious Chelia Kusalama by SPB and Sadhana sargam is the best of the lot. The sluggish editing is a sore point of an otherwise technically good film. The climax is too lengthy and tests your patience.

Plot

Ganesh (Tarun) is a carefree college youth whose life revolves around friends and doing good deeds for them and upsetting his father (Bharani). One day he fumbles upon a Red diary in his father's auction shop. It is a diary left behind unknowingly by Sandhya (Sneha).

The entire first half is narrated through the diary in this film. Sandhya is staying in the house opposite to that of Aishwarya (Jhansi), who is the sister of Ganesh. She falls in love with Ganesh after listening to his melodious guitar play. But Ganesh is unaware of her love and he never uses to interact with her. She is also a shy girl, who never let Ganesh know about her feelings. Sirisha (Preethi) is the younger sister of Sandhya, who is studying in a hostel. When she comes home for holidays, she gets jealous of Sandhya for loving Ganesh and she wanted to grab him from her. Sirishna assures Sandhya that she will liaison the love of Sandhya between Ganesh and Sandhya and plays a double game by playing tricks on Ganesh to attract him. Meantime, the father of Sandhya and Sirisha gets transferred to Vizag. Sandhya asks Sirisha to tell Sandhya's love to Ganesh. Sirishna proposes to Ganesh and gets rejected. Sandhya, who witnessed the entired episode secretly, feels cheated by the betrayal of her own sister. At the same time, Sandhya stays away from proposing to Ganesh for the fear of rejection. The family of Sandhya moves to Vizag. In the transfer process her diary gets misplaced.

After knowing that Sandhya is her secret admirer, Ganesh recognizes the purity in her love and wants to meet her and propose his love to her. He jets off to Vizag along with his friend Chacha (Venu Madhav). There he finds a mutual friend Raghu (Sivaji) and stays in his house. Raghu is a rich bachelor, who is staying with their parents and is very good at heart. As Ganesh explores his secret mission of finding Sandhya, Raghu gets engaged to the unwilling Sandhya. Later on Raghu comes to know that Ganesh is there to search his silent admirer.

Ganesh know that Raghu is marrying Sandhya. Being a good friend, he does not want to betray him. Sandhya has agreed to marriage since she does not want to make the things worse for her father and sister. But she still loves Ganesh. Sirisha wants to amend the mistake she has done. She searches for Ganesh to unite them. Things are still unsure and hazy as Sandhya and Ganesh are going to tie the knot in a few minutes. In the end sirisha tells everything and marries raghu while sandhya and Ganesh unite.
