Plot
Sai (Sairam) is a mechanic who lives an ordinary life until his macabre tryst with the heroine Bindhu Madhavi. Obstinate and proud, rich brat Bindhu likes to act heavy handed with the hero every time. This curious nature of the girl attracts Sai towards her and he soon declares that before her. Like a typical Puri hero, this character slaps the pretty girl, calls her names and his mother pats his back for daring to love the daughter of the rich and powerful Surya Prakash (Shayaji Shinde). The heroine too falls for him and resenting his love for some days. However, the problem is that there is a huge socio-economic divide between the two families and Shinde, who has no regard for penniless people beats up Chandra Mohan (hero's father) black and blue. Enter Sairam into the scene who throws at the ruthless real estate magnate a challenge - that he will bring down the millionaire to his level so that he can marry his daughter.

Plot
Movie starts in Mumbai when mafia leader Ashok Deva (Arjun) is on an unending war with his opponent Pawar (Vineeth Kumar). Deva has a cute family with two sisters Sirisha and Priya (Priya Anand), wife Gauthami (Gracy Singh) and his right hand Shiva. Gauthami is killed by Pawar group on her birthday and she takes last word from her husband to leave this violence and lead a peaceful life away from mafia.
Respecting her words, Deva along with her sisters and Shiva leave to a small village Gandhipuram in East Godavari district to start his new life while Pawar group thinks that Deva is dead. Chakrapani (Naazar) is head of this village with two sons Anand and Ramakrishna (Ram).
Ramakrishna is a notorious guy in the village who bashes up the bad respecting his father’s principles, who is chased by his maradalu (Bindu Madhavi) while Anand is a medico who is in love with classmate Sirisha (Deva’s sister). Feared of their parents not accepting their marriage, both of them elope to their uncle Subba Rao’s (Brahmanandm) residence in Mumbai. Now, Ramakrishna and Priya along with Shiva reach Mumbai in search of this eloped couple only to get targeted by mafia again. Pawar wants to finish Shiva and Priya but are saved by Ramakrishna who later knows about the flash back of Deva.
Ramakrishna now takes on the responsibility of his brother’s marriage with Sirisha and bring them back to Gandhipuram but to be continuously chased by this mafia. At last when both the families agree for the marriage of Ramakrishna with Priya and Anand with Sirisha, here comes back mafia Pawar to take the movie to climax. Who won this mafia war? Did Ramakrishna win his love? What happened to Deva?

Veppam (Tamil: வெப்பம்; English: Heat) is a 2011 Indian Tamil action thriller written and directed by newcomer Anjana Ali Khan, starring Nani, Karthik Kumar, Bindu Madhavi and Nithya Menen.
The story narrates events from the slum areas of Chennai, showcasing
characters and their struggles. The film, jointly produced by Gautham Menon's Photon Kathaas and R. S. Infotainment, had been in production for over one year. The film released on 29 July 2011, while a dubbed Telugu version, titled Sega, released simultaneously in Andhra Pradesh. Veppam received mixed critical response upon release.
Plot
The film is set in a slum in Chennai. Balaji (Muthukumar)'s mother
dies and his father Jothi (Shimmore), a drunkard, leaves him on the
streets. He works hard and ensures a decent living for his younger
brother Karthik (Nani). Karthik, who studies in an engineering college, spends all his time with his friend Vishnu (Karthik Kumar), who is also brought up in the locality. There is Revathy (Nithya Menen) in the neighbourhood, who loves Karthik.
Jothi takes to illegal ways and makes money working for a drug
peddler Ammaji (Jennifer). Knowing that Vishnu is in love with Viji (Bindu Madhavi),
a call girl in the locality, Jothi decides to exploit him for his
selfish gain. He gives him an assignment - to transport drugs to
Pondicherry, promising to give him Viji if he completes the work. Vishnu
takes the help of Karthik and leaves for Pondicherry. However sensing
that something is fishy, Vishnu returns to Chennai. What follows next is
the story of 'Veppam'.

Production
Veppam was shot in 46 days. Since the story was set in Chennai, it was mostly filmed in and around Chennai, with songs being canned in Mahabalipuram, Pondicherry and Kodaikanal.Anjana revealed that the story revolves around three friends - two boys and one girl - from the slums, played by Nani, Karthik Kumar and Nithya Menen, respectively, with Bindu Madhavi playing the role of a call girl. Nani and Bindu Madhavi had acted in several Telugu films before and would make their Tamil film debut through Veppam. The film was also supposed to be Nithya Menen's debut Tamil film,
however due to the long delay in production, it would become her second
Tamil release after 180. Nani and Nithya had starred together in the Telugu sleeper hit Ala Modalaindi (2011), which prompted the makers to dub and release the film in Telugu as well. Anjana had initially signed up with another producer, but since the project failed to take off, director Gautham Menon, under whom she had worked as an assistant director, stepped in and took over the production. Produced under approximately US$550,000, the film's domestic theatrical
rights were sold for US$600,000, while the television rights,
international theatrical rights and the rights to the Telugu dubbed
version had been sold for a total of US$270,000.
Pilla Zameendar (Telugu: పిల్ల జమీందార్: Conditions Apply) is a 2011 Telugu-language comedy film written and directed by G. Ashok, produced by D. S. Rao and Master Bujji Babu under Sri Shailendra Cinemas banner and starring Nani, Haripriya, Bindu Madhavi and Srinivas Avasarala in lead roles. The film soundtrack was composed by Indian percussionist and composer Selvaganesh. Cinematography was handled by Sai Sriram and editing was done by Praveen Pudi. Dialogues of the film were written by popular writer Chandrashekar Gundimeda and screenplay was handled by G. Ashok. Pilla Zamindar was released on 14 October 2011.
STORY
Praveen Jayaramaraju aka PJ(Nani) is the grandson of a wealthy zamindar Pedda Ramaraju(Nagineedu). PJ is an irresponsible and an arrogant youngster who is spoilt by the pampering and excessive money. His grandfather writes a will with several conditions before he dies. His will states that PJ would inherit the entire wealth only if he would completes his graduation as a common man without any luxuries. PJ now has to not only complete his degree course but he must do it within three years and he should study in a government college in a small village called Siripuram. The will also states that PJ needs to stay in a hostel in siripuram and manage living with a very little money. He goes to the village and meets the warden of the hostel Rajanna (Rao Ramesh). He begins adapting to the situations ad changes his lavish lifestyle. He starts to understand the value of life and human beings. He becomes good friends with Kanna Babu(Srinivas Avasarala), Jaatheeyam(Dhanraj), Maqbool("Tagubothu" Ramesh) and others. Months after he joins the college, another condition of his grandfather is revealed. According to the will, PJ needs to be elected as student union president of the college. During his struggle to live there and fulfill the conditions set by his grandfather his transformation from arrogance to humility appeals to the villagers and students. Meanwhile, He falls in love with Sindhu (Hari Priya). It is revealed that the true purpose and reason behind his grandfather's conditions was because of PJ's father. PJ's father married against the wishes of Pedda Ramaraju. As a result, he was deprived of the property. However Pedda Ramaraju realizes his mistake after his son and daughter-in-law(PJ's Mother) are killed in an accident. Pedda Ramaraju to not let his grandson too to go in his son's way and to make him understand the meaning of true happiness, he writes the will. PJ succeeds in fulfilling the conditions laid down by his grandfather and he also transforms into a good person. He also risks his entire property to help Kanna Babu survive a fatal disease, which Kanna Babu eventually does.
Avakai Biryani is a critically acclaimed 2008 Telugu film written and directed by Anish Kuruvilla. Filmed in Telugu, the film revolves around Akbar Kalam, a Muslim auto rickshaw-driver and Lakshmi Jandhyala, a traditional Hindu woman with a romantic backdrop. The film stars debutant actors, Kamal Kamaraju and Bindu Madhavi in the leading roles.
Avakai Biryani (Pickeled Biryani) is a coming of age story of two individuals from two totally different backgrounds and cultural upbringing. The only similarity between them is the fact that they both belong to the same picturesque, historic town of Devarakonda, a few 100kms outside of Hyderabad city. Akbar, an orphan Muslim is the male protagonist. An auto driver, whose days are all about lugging passengers from one town to another on the highway. But driving an auto is not all he wants to do. He wants more in life. His continuous goal is to pass his final year B.com examinations, something he has failed to do now three times in a row.
Lakshmi, a traditional Brahmin girl is the female protagonist, she and her family resettle in Devarakonda, having been displaced from Polavaram. Her family used to traditionally run a hotel over there for many years. Her aim now is to be able to open up a hotel on the highway near Devarakonda and make it a success. She also takes a lot of pride in the avakai (mango pickle) she makes and has big plans of selling them in Hyderabad.
While these central characters go about their goals, the town of Devarakonda itself has a lot of things going on. The village panchayat which seldom takes care of its own people, a thriving 7 seater auto business run corruptly, etc. The conspirators in this case being two influential people in the town.
Akbar and Lakshmi become friends after first being apprehensive about each others faiths and backgrounds. Their relationship doesn't evolve into love right away, instead there is a good deal of self respect for each others dreams and ambitions, which much later turns into a mature loving relationship.
The goings on in the town compel Akbar to take a stand on certain issues. He becomes an accidental hero, but what happens to his relationship wth Lakshmi? How much further can it go? Her father is uncompromising in his attitude towards Muslims….the couple take a decision…. Avakai Biryani is a social/romantic/coming of age film. It intends to romanticize highway roads, small towns and their people's ambitions and finally the whole point of view about Muslims and Hindus, how different can we be if we are all human in the first place.
