Plot

Godavari is a film about Ram, Seetha and the river cruise that brings them together. Its a semi-urban love story set against the scenic backdrop of the Godavari river aboard a houseboat also called the “Godavari”.

Its a story about Ram and Seetha who decide to take a break from their disappointing lives in the city. They leave behind their personal and professional problems and decide to take a cruise on the river, Godavari, from Rajamundry to Badrachalam.

They meet aboard the cruise liner and from there starts a story involving friendship, adventure, and eventually love. The story also reflects the characteristic culture of the Godavari region. There are also several sub stories involving the other characters on the house boat

Ram (Sumanth) is an idealistic man. He wishes to make a career in politics even though he’s actually a software engineer with a degree from the USA. He lives with his grandmother in a middle class colony. He's in love with his cousin, Raji, whom he hopes to marry someday. However Raji declines Ram's proposal as she's insecure about his professional and financial future. A heartbroken but realistic Ram is forced to join her and his family on the river journey to Badrachalam, where Raji is due to get married to another man, Ravi. Ravi unlike Ram is a rich guy and also an IPS recruit.

Seetha (Kamalinee) runs an unsuccessful clothing boutique. Her parents want her to forget about her business and tell her to get married instead. Seetha is not enthusiastic about the idea, however circumstances force her to reluctantly agree with her parents. Unfortunately, the marriage alliance doesn’t work out for her and she subsequently choses to take a break from everything by going on the same Godavari river journey. How Ram and Sita fall in love forms the rest of the story.

The animated dog (voice over given by Sekhar Kammula) and parrot also have their significant roles in the movie. The treasure hunt scenes are fun to watch.

Aayiram Vilakku (Tamil: ஆயிரம் விளக்கு English: Thousand Lights) is a 2011 Indian Tamil action film directed by S.P.Hosimin, in his second venture, starring Sathyaraj and Shanthnoo in the lead roles, whilst, Sana Khan and Suman play pivotal roles. The film, produced by HMI Pictures and scored by Srikanth Deva, was released on 23 September 2011.

Plot

The film opens when a child named Tarun starts asking his father Gopal to tell him an interesting story. The father starts saying the story of Lingam, his former adopted father. Lingam is don of Madurai and the people get scared when his name his heard.So the police commissioner orders that if Lingam takes part in any of the crime he'll be killed. Thus,the don takes a decision to build a mill in Aayiram Vilakku Nagar. Gopal is a man who works in a rice mill. Megha and Gopal love each other and constantly romance.
The people in Aayiram Vilakku Nagar accept the deal and move from that place except Gopal. So one day the don's men came for asking his land but he rejects the deal. Lingam notices this and decides to adopt Gopal. Gopal's life changes and he is soon a protector of his adopted father. He is soon a problem for an opposing gang and the police force. They begin to cause trouble for him and Lingam. The opposing gang challenge Gopal and Lingam to fight. Gopal refuses and one night at a wedding, Megha and Gopal are chased by the opposing gang and run throughout the village trying to escape. Gopal kills the henchmen and saves Megha, who was about to get tortured. Gopal and Lingam are then forced to accept the fight with no other choice. Lingam and Gopal get their guns prepared overnight and head to the fields the next morning. Lingam and Gopal both fight with the main villains and kill all of them with their guns and hands. The police force enter the situation and soon Gopal and Megha leave the fields running but are followed by one more villain. The police tell Lingam that if he shoots the villain, he will be killed for all his past crimes. IF he doesn't he will be cleared of all charges and return to normal life. Lingam tells Gopal that a bad guy is behind him but Gopal doesn't hear him. The bad guy is just about to stab Gopal until Lingam shoots the bad guy. Gopal hears the shot and sees a bad guy dead. The officers shoot Lingam. Megha and Gopal run back to Lingam and Lingam says that he was proud of Gopal and wishes Gopal to take his place as leader of the dons. Gopal, in tears, accepts, and Lingam dies in Gopal's hands. Gopal is seen later telling his son the pain he feels even today

Virodhi is a 2011 Telugu film directed by G. Neelakanta Reddy. The film stars Srikanth, Kamalinee Mukherjee, Ajay and Kamal Kamaraju in pivotal roles. The film was show cased among the Indian panorama section, at the 2011 International Film Festival of India

Plot

Political journalist Jayadev (Srikanth) unearths several scams made by a politician (Ahuti Prasad) who in turn invites him to bribe him. The but idealistic Jayadev refuses to relent, and as they discuss, a group of Maoists attack the politician and kill him off and Jayadev is held as their hostage. Along with Jayadev, the group of Maoists led by Gogi (Ajay) head to their base camp in a dense forest. During the journey, their ideologies are tested; good and bad are exposed, in a dramatic way.

Avakai Biryani

Avakai Biryani is a critically acclaimed 2008 Telugu film written and directed by Anish Kuruvilla. Filmed in Telugu, the film revolves around Akbar Kalam, a Muslim auto rickshaw-driver and Lakshmi Jandhyala, a traditional Hindu woman with a romantic backdrop. The film stars debutant actors, Kamal Kamaraju and Bindu Madhavi in the leading roles.


Avakai Biryani (Pickeled Biryani) is a coming of age story of two individuals from two totally different backgrounds and cultural upbringing. The only similarity between them is the fact that they both belong to the same picturesque, historic town of Devarakonda, a few 100kms outside of Hyderabad city.
Akbar, an orphan Muslim is the male protagonist. An auto driver, whose days are all about lugging passengers from one town to another on the highway. But driving an auto is not all he wants to do. He wants more in life. His continuous goal is to pass his final year B.com examinations, something he has failed to do now three times in a row.
Lakshmi, a traditional Brahmin girl is the female protagonist, she and her family resettle in Devarakonda, having been displaced from Polavaram. Her family used to traditionally run a hotel over there for many years. Her aim now is to be able to open up a hotel on the highway near Devarakonda and make it a success. She also takes a lot of pride in the avakai (mango pickle) she makes and has big plans of selling them in Hyderabad.
While these central characters go about their goals, the town of Devarakonda itself has a lot of things going on. The village panchayat which seldom takes care of its own people, a thriving 7 seater auto business run corruptly, etc. The conspirators in this case being two influential people in the town.
Akbar and Lakshmi become friends after first being apprehensive about each others faiths and backgrounds. Their relationship doesn't evolve into love right away, instead there is a good deal of self respect for each others dreams and ambitions, which much later turns into a mature loving relationship.
The goings on in the town compel Akbar to take a stand on certain issues. He becomes an accidental hero, but what happens to his relationship wth Lakshmi? How much further can it go? Her father is uncompromising in his attitude towards Muslims….the couple take a decision…. Avakai Biryani is a social/romantic/coming of age film. It intends to romanticize highway roads, small towns and their people's ambitions and finally the whole point of view about Muslims and Hindus, how different can we be if we are all human in the first place.
