Ayyare

Venkatesam (Shivaji) is a mechanic who runs his own garage. He is a carefree and fun loving guy who loves to enjoy life. He comes across Anjali (Anisha Singh) and it is love at first sight for the hero. Anjali too reciprocates the love and a romantic track ensues. Anjali's father Sivaprasad (Sivaprasad) comes to know about this love affair and he decides to seek the advice of his guru 'Parakaya Baba' ( Rajendra Prasad). Baba asks Sivaprasad to go ahead with the marriage.

As marriage arrangements are in full swing, Baba changes his mind and orders the marriage to be cancelled. Why does Baba change his mind? What relation does Baba have with Venkatesam? And what is the history of this Baba? That forms the story of Ayyar

Plot

Akasa Ramanna, the narrator, starts with the story of Teja (Rajiv Kanakala), Raana (Allari Naresh) and Jai (Sivaji), The story also involves P. Thimothy (Venu Madhav) and his lecherous friends. Raana is in search of getting credit of five lakh rupess to help his girl friend Isha (Gowri Pandit). He seeks his friend and a supermarket owner Jai's help. Jai himself being in financial crisis cannot help Raana. He is arrested by police inspector (Rao Ramesh). Two murders happen to spice up the story. Rao Ramesh suspects Teja of the murders. Teja is introduced to the concept of the inescapable trap of 'karma' by a fake god-man Swamiji (Raghu Babu), in the local bar. In some minutes, the 'godman' is punished with death by 'karma,'. At the other end of the spectrum are, Raana and Jai, who are taken for a ride by a treacherous woman. Raana is in dire need of the money, while Jai mysteriously needs the same amount. Thimothy and gang are on their way to spend the night with their favourite whore. Meanwhile, Teja hits a person while driving the car in a drunken state. There is a terrible link between the two and the story rocks back and forth within a 40 minute duration leading to revealing the suspense. The entire film runs around just seven characters and is based on an incident that takes place at 12:40.

Story

Kalidasu (Sivaji) is fed up with his financial situation and resorts to ending his life. But he is saved by JK (Prakash Raj) in the last moment. JK promises to give all the money Kalidasu needs without any strings attached. JK runs a secret trust that helps the victims in distress who resorts to the act of suicide.

Kalidasu notices Alakananda (Veda) on a TV program and falls in love with her at the first sight. Alakananda runs a flower boutique for work satisfaction though she is a daughter of a millionaire. Kaludasu proposes to Alakananda. She tells him to befriend her for a few days so that she could know more about Kalidasu before taking a decision. As Kalidasu try to get closer to Alakananda, the things between them get worse. The rest of the film is about whether Alakananda accepts Kaludasu's proposition or not.

Artists Performance

Sivaji did his character with lots of poise and ease. His accent in second half reminds us that of Rajendra Prasad in 'Ladies Tailor' film. Veda is probably the first fair-skinned heroine in a Vamsi's film. Vamsi preferred the sensuous dark-skinned girls as leading ladies so far. She is adequate. Krishna Bhagawan did a major role in generating comedy. Prakash Raj is good as the businessman. Character of MS Narayana is hilarious. Suman Setty, Bhuvana, Apoorva and Jeeva are satisfactory.

Technical Departments:

Story: Story of the film is simple. It is about a man who falls in love with a woman. That woman buys time till the climax of the film to get the time going. An element of crime is added with Prakash Raj character. The crime element got diluted and the love thread is not convincing enough.

Screenplay - direction: The taking, shot making, editing and narration of the film is done in typical Vamsy's style. He could get the timing right in comedy scenes in this film. But, he sounded bit old-fashioned at times. Screenplay of the film is adequate. Vamsi mixed comedy with crime element successfully in his earlier films. This film too had similar mix, but the crime element is not narrated well enough to capture the attention. The climax of the film appears incomplete and incomprehensive.

Other departments: Dialogues by Sankaramanchi Parthasaradhy are satisfactory. Songs composed by Chakri are good (though remind us of old Maestro Ilayaraja work). The background music is bad in the comedy scenes. Photography by MV Raghu suits the requirements of Vamsi's taking style. Artwork by DY Satyanarayana is good. This film is made on low budget.

Analysis: First half of the film is OK. Interval bang is good. Second half is a bit slow. Climax is abrupt. KTVC is a typical Vamsi's film with love, crime and comedy entangled. Plus points of the film are music and comedy. This film does not have anything that puts you off. You may watch it once.

Story

Krishna (Sivaji) is a sand-sculptor. He goes to Goa to promote that art. He meets Satyabhama (Bhumika) there and falls in love with her. He proposes to her which she to she looks agreeing. When he meets her on the next day, she doesn�t recognize him. It is later revealed that Satyabhama suffers from �short memory loss beyond limits�. So the rest of the film is how Krishna makes her normal and wins her love by wooing her again and again.
Analysis

Satyabhama is cool romantic entertainer. A very well directed film with urbane look. Though the basic plot is adapted from Hollywood flick, 50 First Dates, the new director Srihari Naanu has told the film in very interesting, humorous way and also in chic manner. Handled very sensible, the film can be lapped up by A-center and NRI audiences as its theme and outset is appealing to their sensibilities.

An enjoying fare from the new director. The magic of successful combination of Shivaji and Bhoomika works again after their Missamma.

Performances
Sivaji looks different in this film. His look and histrionics are quite different from his recent films. He is good in this film. Bhumika Chawla portrays the role of subdued character of Satyabhama very sensibly. As the victim of �Short memory loss beyond limits� she is flawless. Superstar Krishna appears as doctor.
Chitram Sreenu and Babloo take care of comedy department. Sunil in his brief role too is very impressive.  
What�s hot
Script is good. Director Srihari Naanu has tried to tell the film in a fresh way. His taking and honest performances by the lead pair makes the film an enjoying movie.  Climax is neat. Technically, it is Chakri�s music that scores in high. Cinematography deserves appreciation. 
What�s not!
There is no consistency in narration. And the story is not original. Even in Telugu, Premikulu came that copied from the Hollywood film, 50 First Dates. The first 15 minutes is hard to digest.
Bottom line
It is cool movie. That can be appealing to the urban audiences. A decent effort by new director.
