Plot

The film opens with Sunita (Jiah Khan), a medical student, and her friends working on a project about the human brain. She wants to investigate the curious case of Sanjay Singhania (Aamir Khan), a (former) notable city businessman, who is reported to have anterograde amnesia. Her professor denies access to Sanjay's records as it is currently under criminal investigation. Sunita, nonetheless, decides to investigate the matter herself.

Sanjay is introduced as he brutally murders a man. He takes a Polaroid picture of the man, and writes on it "done". It is revealed that Sanjay has anterograde amnesia where he loses his memory every 15 minutes. Sanjay uses a system of photographs, notes, and tattoos on his body to recover his memory after each cycle. It is revealed that Sanjay is ultimately out to avenge the death of his sweetheart Kalpana (Asin), and that he is systematically killing the people who were responsible for it. His main target is "Ghajini" (Pradeep Rawat), a notable social personality in the city.

Police Inspector Arjun Yadav, on the case of the serial murders, tracks Sanjay down to his flat and attacks and disables him. Yadav finds two diaries where Sanjay has chronicled the events of 2005 and 2006. The film flashes back to 2005 as Yadav reads the diary. Sanjay Singhania is shown as the owner of the Air Voice mobile telephone company. In the course of his business, Sanjay sends his men to meet Kalpana, a struggling model, about putting up a billboard above her apartment. The owner of Kalpana's advertising firm misinterprets this as a romantic advance, and in view of a possible lucrative Air Voice ad campaign and other benefits, encourages Kalpana to accept the overture. Kalpana thinks of this as an innocent prank that may fetch her better modeling work, and decides to play out the charade as Sanjay's girlfriend. As soon as Sanjay knows of this matter, he decides to confront Kalpana but falls in love with her on first sight. Thus, he introduces himself as Sachin. Eventually both of them hang around together and gradually develop a liking towards each other. The diary ends with Sanjay proposing to Kalpana and promising himself that he will reveal himself as Sanjay Singhania if she accepts.

When Yadav is about to read the 2006 diary, Sanjay returns to senses, attacks him and ties him up. He tracks down Ghajini to a college function where Ghajini is the guest of honor. Sanjay took pictures of Ghajini and decides to kill him. He meets Sunita at the function who, after some conversation, decides to befriend him. Later that evening, Sanjay mistakenly attacks and kills one of Ghajini's goons in the parking lot. Ghajini is perplexed and fails to recollect the incident. However he decides to find and kill his enemies one by one, but Sanjay is not among them.

In the meantime, Sunita visits Sanjay's flat and finds Yadav, beaten and bound. Sunita finds the two diaries and frees Yadav. She also finds that Ghajini is Sanjay's target. Yadav tells her that Sanjay is a known serial murderer. Sanjay arrives suddenly; he remembers neither of them and chases them out. Yadav is eventually hit by a bus, while Sunita barely escapes, going into a boutique. Believing Ghajini is in danger, she informs him that Sanjay is after him. Ghajini arrives at Sanjay's flat to kill him. He destroys all the photographs, notes and scratches off Sanjay's tattoos. Satisfied that he has neutralized Sanjay by wiping out any trace that connects back to him, Ghajini leaves.

Meanwhile, back in her dorm, Sunita reads the diaries. The film flashes fast to 2005 then back to 2006. It is revealed that Kalpana had accepted Sanjay's proposal. This diary ends abruptly. Sunita investigates further, and discovers that Kalpana was traveling to Goa for a modeling assignment by train when she came upon 25 innocent young girls being trafficked to Goa. She saves the girls who name Ghajini as the ringleader of the racket. Ghajini kills two girls, who recognized him, and goes in search of Kalpana. His goons break into her apartment and wait for her to return. Sanjay arrives there to meet Kalpana. Her last word to him was "Ghajini". The goons attack Kalpana. Sanjay intervenes but Ghajini hits him over the head with an iron rod. Sanjay's last vision was to witness Ghajini brutally murder Kalpana with the iron rod.

Sunita, now aware of the shocking truth, finds Sanjay in the hospital and tells him the truth. He flies into a rage and he told her to lead him to Ghajini. Arriving at Ghajini's lair in downtown Mumbai, Sanjay confronts all of Ghajini's henchmen and with superior strength, manages to disable. Finding Ghajini himself, Sanjay fights Ghajini hand-to-hand. However, Ghajini realizes that he is no match for Sanjay's strength, so the two engage in a chase until Sanjay's memory loss strikes again. Ghajini turns around and stabs him. He begins to taunt the stabbed Sanjay with the grisly tale of how he murdered Kalpana, when Sanjay, with a sudden burst of last minute strength, overpowers Ghajini. Sanjay kills Ghajini in the same way as Ghajini had killed Kalpana.

The film ends with Sanjay, still experiencing amnesia, volunteering at an orphanage. Sunita gives him a gift which is the cement slab on which Kalpana and Sanjay impressioned their first footprints when the couple moved into a new apartment to remind him of his fond association with Kalpana.

Plot

The city of Chennai is rife with nefarious activities of land mafia. There are two rival gangs: one under Ali Bhai (Prakash Raj) who resides in Dubai and controls the operation through his capos Guru (Vincent Asokan), Loggu (Subbaraju) and Mona (Brindha Parekh). The other gang is operated by local goon Narasiman (Anand Raj) who operates in the Port areas. Both threaten builders and land owners into giving them hafta/protection money or real estate property, through means of force, extortion or murder. Mohamed Maideen Khan (Napoleon) arrives as the new Commissioner of Chennai and starts cracking on goons in the city.

The movie begins with Thamizh (Sathyamoorthy) (Vijay), a local goon who will kill anyone, anytime given the money is good, being chased by Loggu and his henchmen. Tamizh has taken a contract from Narasiman to beat up Loggu, which he does successfully . Impressed by his ability to handle a seasoned gangster like Loggu and his henchmen, Guru invites Tamizh to join Ali Bhai's gang. Tamizh declines the offer stating that he does not work for any gang, but is ready to do anything, given enough money. Tamizh hangs around with his friends, which include Saravana (Sriman) and Vaiyapuri.

Meanwhile, Tamizh encounters Shruthi (Asin Thottumkal) when he visits his friend's father's (Nassar) aerobics class. He is bowled over by her beautiful face, though she disregards him as a thug. Shruthi, a college going student, lives with her widowed mother and younger brother. Body Soda (Vadivelu), is a cowardly kung fu master who lives next-door to Shruthi and is the main source of comic relief of the film. He is trying to win her heart, but has had trouble doing so. Sub inspector L. Govindan (Mukesh Tiwari), is a corrupt, perverted officer in the colony where Tamizh and Shruthi live. He goes hand in glove with the land mafia, often helping them out in their activities. He is also on the payroll of Ali Bhai. He is also a lecherous man, whose eye falls on Shruthi and he decides to make her his mistress.

Tamizh's first assignment with Ali Bhai's gang is to kill a member of Narasiman's gang. However, police show up at the spot where Tamizh and the other gangsters are waiting for the kill. Tamizh distracts the cops long enough for the others to finish the task and flee. He also helps Shruthi escape from L. Govindan, in the middle of all this. She is impressed by his kindness and starts developing friendship with him. He also starts having feelings for her, which are reciprocated by Shruthi . When she expresses her feelings towards him, they are attacked by members of Narasiman's gang, whom Tamizh single handedly finishes off. Shruthi is shocked to learn that Tamizh is a seasoned gangster and has no qualms in killing people.

L.Govindan starts harassing Shruthi and her mother, and wants them to cater to his lecherous demands. On realizing that Shruthi is about to get married, he arranges to have some thugs put up a mock show of molesting Shruthi, so that no decent family will want to take her as their daughter-in-law and with no other option Shruthi and her mother will accept his demands. Tamizh gets wind of this and trashes L.Govindan's incognito, warning him that if he is responsible for this incident then things will turn very ugly for him. Later, Tamizh finds out the thugs who puts up a mock show of molesting Shruti, came to disturb her in the train. Tamil catches up the train and kills them.There Shruti confesses that she cannot forget Tamizh and she is loves him a lot. They get together.

Unable to withstand the interference by Narasiman into his gangs operations, Ali Bhai comes to Chennai and kills Narasiman alone. He also meets Tamizh to discuss with him the killing of a minister by blowing up a bomb. Tamizh however, disagrees to Ali Bhai's method as it is his principle not to kill women and children. In the middle of their argument, police raid the club and arrest Ali Bhai. His gang members retaliate by kidnapping the Commissioner's daughter and creating a lewd video, which is then released to the public. This forces the police to release Ali Bhai. After coming out, Ali Bhai starts torturing the Commissioner's daughter, who accidentally reveals that her father has placed a mole in Ali Bhai's gang and his name is Tamizh. This causes a lot of tensions and after digging up some old records they find that Tamizh's friend's father, Shanmugavel (Nasser) was formerly a circle inspector and his son Sathyamoorthy (Tamizh's friend, Sriman) is now a part of Tamizh's gang. Assuming him to be the mole, Ali Bhai kills Sathyamoorthy in front of his dad. However, it is then revealed that the person who died is not the son, but the foster son of Shamugavel, who was called Saravannan. It is then revealed that the actual son of the circle inspector, is none other than Tamil. His father explains that Thamizh is a gold medalist IPS officer, who has been masquerading as a thug so that he can penetrate the underworld and wipe it out from the inside.There Ali Bhai kills the father hoping Tamizh will come looking for the father. Tamizh goes to seek revenge of his fathers death where Shruti tries to stop him. He leaves her in the Commissioners protection and goes to find them.

The movie concludes with Thamizh avenging his father's death by finishing off Ali Bhai, his henchmen and the police inspector, Govindan.

Plot

Sivamani (Akkineni Nagarjuna) is an honest cop in Vizag. He falls in love with Vasanta (Asin Thottumkal), who aspires to become a singer. Dattu is a mafia don (Prakash Raj), whom Shivamani troubles a lot.

Incidentally, Vasanta is distantly related to Dattu and both of them belong to Kerala. In the course of events, Sivamani's mother (Sangeeta) gets paralyzed. Sivamani and Vasanta take her to Kerala to get the state's Ayurveda treatments. Dattu is also in Kerala and his mission is to get his revenge by taking Vasanta away from Sivamani. Vasanta becomes mute after Dattu punctures her voice box. The rest of the story is about how Sivamani gets Vasanta back with the help of newspaper editor Pallavi (Rakshitha).

Plot

Chandu (Ravi Teja)'s entire life was about his mother, Lakshmi (Jayasudha). They together lived in Hyderabad. When Chandu was a little boy, Lakshmi separated from her ex-husband, Raghuveer (Prakash Raj), who was his father. Chandu was a great kick-boxer, which was his other part of his life. Chandu later meets Mugaambigaambaal (Asin) aka Chennai, a Tamil girl from Chennai, and starts to fall in love with her. Suddenly, Chandu's mother dies. On her deathbed, she tells him to go to Visakhapatnam to meet Raghuveer, his father, who is a kick-boxing champion that won the championship six times in a row. Chandu goes to Visakhapatnam to meet him.

When Chandu reaches Visakhapatnam, he meets his father but sees that he has another wife, named Shalini (Aishwarya Sivachandran) and a daughter named Swapna. He sees that he's happily settled with them and gets angry. He also gets a job as a janitor and juice provider at his father's kick-boxing academy. Anand (Subbaraju) is Raghuveer's best student and he is sure that Anand will win the championship. Unexpectedly, he sees that Mugaambigaambaal's family lives here and talks to her. Later, Chandu finds out that Anand makes Swapna pregnant and then abandons her. Anand also abandons Raghuveer by getting another master and other sponsors. Raghuveer is attacked by several of Anand's sponsors and Chandu later beats them up, making Raghuveer find out that Chandu is a great kick-boxer. Raghuveer also finds out that Chandu was also participating in the kick-boxing championship. The rest of the story is how Raghuveer trains Chandu and wins the championship, how Chandu wins the heart of Mugaambigaambaal, and how he unites Swapna and Anand.

Plot

The story revolves around two childhood friends Arjun (played by Ajay Devgan) and Mannu (played by Salman Khan) who have some music lineage in their family history. Arjun dreams of being on stage as a performer in the music industry, to live up to his grandfather's unfulfilled ambitions. Mannu however has little interest in his music tutor father's instruments and is content with remaining a child at heart with a simpleton attitude.

Through the course of the film, Arjun diligently pursues his dream, at one point almost leaving an uncle who is his only family. He finally makes it to London where he believes he can succeed.

Arjun creates a fledgling band with Zoheb and Wasim (Rannvijay Singh and Aditya Roy Kapoor respectively), two brothers who duped their relatives in Pakistan to travel to London in pursuit of their musical aspirations. He also brings aboard Priya (played by Asin), a music enthusiast from a conservative South Indian family. The other protagonist of the movie, Mannu, is shown to be trying to make his livelihood by playing as a wedding band performer at the village back in India.

Arjun eventually invites Mannu to London to complete his band contrary to his own belief that the latter could create competition within the band.

Upon forming the band, Mannu is shown to have musical talent and the qualities of an entertainer. He therefore becomes popular with the audiences with his unique style of performing. This is in contrast to the earlier part of the film where Arjun struggles to captivate the attention of the crowd despite the music.

Arjun starts feeling envious of the rising success of Mannu. As a further extension of the jealousy, Arjun who is starting a budding relationship with Priya starts sensing that she is now smitten by Mannu. While the latter now starts a relationship with Priya, he does become the target of Arjun's frustrations who seeks to sabotage Mannu's career. Zoheb, who doesn't like Mannu, decides to help Arjun.

The band embarks on a three-city tour spanning Paris, Rome and Amsterdam. Here Arjun deceives a naive Mannu into a rollercoaster ride of promiscuous sex and illicit drugs. He tricks him, gets him addicted to drugs, and then gets him arrested in a car full of them. While pretending to help Mannu, Arjun leaks the drug story to the press. As the three-city tour concludes, the band heads to London to perform at Wembley Stadium in front of an audience estimated at 90,000 (which is of significance since, earlier in the movie, the viewer is told that Arjun's grandfather had failed before a similar audience). Knowing how important this is for Arjun, Mannu tries to give up drugs. But Arjun decides that his success and Mannu's total failure are related. He pays a girl to have sex with Mannu, which makes Priya break up with Mannu. In this fragile state, Zoheb pushes Mannu toward drugs again so that he can't come on stage.

In the moments leading up to the stage entrance, Mannu comes to senses and chooses the righteous path and runs to support his mate. But Arjun, who has become incensed with the crowd chanting Mannu's name, confesses his envy of Mannu's talent and what he did to finish Mannu off. The audience boos Arjun, the band breaks up and a sad Mannu goes back to his village.

Arjun's uncle (Om Puri), advises him to apologize to Mannu. Then it is revealed that after knowing the truth Priya and Mannu reconcile. Also, she marries Mannu and lives with him in his village. In the village, however, Mannu tells him not to apologize saying that it was his fault that he didn't see Arjun's sorrow and Priya also pardons Arjun for his wrong deeds. Plot

The film starts with ready-witted Prem (Salman Khan) helping his childhood friend Khushi (Zarine Khan) to elope with Raju (Ajay Devgn). Khushi's intended bridegroom Gaurav (Arbaaz Khan) reveals that he also has a girlfriend, Kiran (Kangna Ranaut), whom he wants to marry. The elopement angers Khushi's father, Mr. Pathak (Mithilesh Chaturvedi) and Prem's family, the Kapoors. Prem manages to pacify his family members.

The Kapoors decide to get Prem engaged to Pooja. Prem is sent to receive Pooja at the airport; however, he deliberately goes to he wrong terminal to avoid meeting her. A girl named Sanjana (Asin), who has just run away from her own wedding, overhears Prem telling his uncle about ditching Pooja. Since nobody from Prem's family has ever seen Pooja, Sanjana herself pretends to be Prem's intended fiancee. Sanjana, posing as Pooja, goes to stay with the Kapoors and wins the hearts of the entire family, except Prem, who gets irritated with her.

Meanwhile, Sanjana's maternal uncles, Amar Choudhary (Akhilendra Mishra), and Suraj Choudhary (Sharat Saxena), who are rivals, try to search for her. Each uncle wants Sanjana to marry his respective brother-in-law in order to grab her wealth. Sanjana and Prem escape from Suraj Chaudhary's goons by taking a lift in the car of Mr. Lehri (Sudesh Lehri). Prem outwits the goons and sends Suraj's son Aryan into a coma while escaping. Suraj Choudhary takes the help of Mr. Lehri to get to know who ran away with Sanjana.

But by then, Prem finds out Sanjana's true identity, and she tells him about her uncles trying to get her married. Prem and Sanjana fall in love and decide to get married. However, her uncle Suraj Chaudhary takes her away. Then the Kapoors come to know about her true identity; however, they still want her as Prem's wife. Prem assures Sanjana that she should stay with her uncle, and he will find a way to marry her as well as reunite her whole family.

Prem pretends to be the nephew of Balidaan Bhardwaaj a.k.a. Bali (Paresh Rawal), a Chartered Accountant who serves both of Sanjana's uncles. Prem convinces Suraj and Amar Chaudhary not to get either of their brothers-in-law married to Sanjana. Instead, he suggests the daughters of America's billionaires K.K Modi and B.K Modi as suitable brides for the two brothers-in-law. What the Choudharies do not know is that K.K and B.K Modi are actually Prem's dad and uncle in disguise. Prem also gets the rest of his family to play various characters, to trick Sanjana's family into letting her marry him. He also manages to change the Chaudhary family's negative attitudes.

But on the wedding day, Aryan comes out of coma, and reveals the truth about Prem. There is some fighting, in which Prem gets the best of Sanjana's uncles and their men. Then he tells Amar and Suraj Chaudhary how Sanjana's late mother wanted them to unite and get their niece married. The Chaudharies are deeply apologetic for their bad behaviour. In the end, Prem and Sanjana get married and their wedding picture is taken with the Kapoors and Chaudharies, a.k.a. the 'Chapoors'.

Plot

Chakram (Prabhas) is a foreign returnee and has a dream of building a hospital at Pulivendula. He is in love with his colleague, Lakshmi (Asin Thottumkal) who studied with him abroad. Gharshana (Telugu: ఘర్షణ, English: Contention) is an Indian action film directed by Gautham Menon. It was released on July 30, 2004. The movie stars the Indian film actor Daggubati Venkatesh and the Indian film actress Asin Thottumkal playing the lead roles. It is a remake of the 2003 Tamil film success Kaakha Kaakha. Jyothika was the initial cast instead of Asin. This film is not to be confused with the Maniratnam film Gharshana (1988), starring Prabhu Ganesan and Karthik Muthuraman with music by Ilaiyaraja, which was dubbed into Telugu from the Tamil language original, Agni Natchathiram (1988).

Plot

Rama Chandra (played by Daggubati Venkatesh) is the Deputy Commissioner of Police of Hyderabad City. His upbringing as an orphan, and the special nature of his job as a policeman, have left him reluctant to form relationships with women. He doesn't have much faith in the judicial system and seeks to 'eliminate' the criminals in the town through encounters.

Rama Chandra, however, has fallen in love with Maya (played by Asin Thottumkal). She is a school teacher and has fallen in love with him. Initially he shuns her love, fearing that his enemies might cause harm to her. But her love is so deep for him that she is willing to take this risk, and they are married.

In one of his encounters, Rama Chandra kills Das, an Orissa-based leader of a criminal family, and his troubles begin. Das’ brother Panda (played by Salim Baig) resolves to take revenge on Rama Chandra for the death of his brother by targeting Chandra's friends and family members. Maya is kidnapped by these villains and her husband sets out to rescue her and to free Hyderabad City of this criminal menace at the same time. Despite facing growing horror and betrayal at every step, Rama Chandra defeats Panda and his mafia, and also rescuing his wounded wife. The ending scene features Rama Chandra a few months later, calling out to his wife 'Maya' and both leaving in a car.

Plot

Annavaram (Pawan Kalyan) has a lot of attachment with his sister Varam (Sandhya). He wants to see his sister trouble free even after marriage and hence wanted to get her married to a city guy who has all the facilities like mixie, grinder, gas stove, running water and such facilities. True to his taste, Annavaram marries Varam to a guy (Shiva Balaji) who stays in Hyderabad. In order to leave her at her husband's place, Annavaram drops Varam in Hyderabad. Aishwarya (Asin Thottumkal) is the neighbour of Varam's husband who is chirpy and moves very close with everyone without any inhibition. During his stay, Annavaram finds that the city is full of goons and his brother-in-law pacifies him not to take everything to head and one should have the adjustment mentality to stay in the city. The city is ruled by two big goons called Tapas Balu(Ashish Vidyarthi) and Puranapool Ganga (Lal). Unable to digest the situation, Annavaram returns to his village along with his close friend Narasimha (Venu Madhav). After a few months, Varam turns pregnant and Pandu's brother Gutkha Pandu threatens Varam's husband and takes away the canteen being run by him in a college. Varam gets frightened at the attack. Meanwhile, Narasimha gets Visa to fly to Dubai to work there. To see him off at the airport, Annavaram reaches Hyderabad again. Narasimha, Annavaram, Varam and her husband go to Golconda to see the fort, where Narasimha gets killed by Ganga. Varam and her husband reach the village to take part in the funeral of Narasimha. Annavaram detains his sister and brother in law in the village, but he leaves the village stating that he got a job. He reaches Hyderabad. He dares Tapas Balu and kills 20 of his men along with a corrupt police officer (Ravi Babu). He even calls up the ACP J.D. Yadav (Nagendra Babu) that he would do the duty of the police as they were handcuffed with political pressures and can't take action against the goons. At this juncture, Annavaram meets his old friend Sairam (Brahmaji) and with his help gets the details of all the goons and decide to eliminate all of them. To bail out from the crisis, Tapas Balu kidnaps ACP's daughter Sanjana. Annavaram attacks Balu and kills him and saves her. Then he targets Ganga's brother Pandu and kills him. Next is the turn of Ganga. Like this, he eliminates all the goons and makes Hyderabad a clean city sans any goondas by the time Varam delivers a baby boy. The film ends on a happy note with the union of Annavaram and Aishwarya.
