Plot

Anjaneyulu is a story involving mafia and gang wars. Anjaneyulu (Ravi Teja) works as a reporter for a news channel. Subash is another honest reporter belonging to the same channel who unravels a murder conspiracy relating to the mafia leader, Bada (Sonu Sood), in which Anjaneyulu's parents get killed.

Anjali (Nayantara) is a beauty who works for a mobile servicing company, Airtel. Anjaneyulu comes across this lady and wants her to be his love.

Anjaneyulu joins Bada's gang in the name of Pavan to extract all the information behind the conspiracy. In the end, Anjaneyulu kills the bad guys including Bada and turns over the CD containing all the information relating to the conspiracy to the police.

Anjali and Anjaneyulu get married. Anjali gives birth to a boy, who is named after Anjaneyulu's father, Krishna Murhty or "Murthygaru"

Plot

Jodhaa Akbar is a sixteenth century love story about a political marriage of convenience between a Mughal emperor, Akbar, and a Rajput princess, Jodhaa.

Political success knew no bounds for Emperor Akbar (Hrithik Roshan). After having secured the Hindu Kush, his empire extends from Afghanistan to the Bay of Bengal, and from the Himalayas to the Narmada River. Through a shrewd blend of diplomacy, intimidation and brute force, Akbar won the allegiance of the Rajputs. This allegiance was not universal. Maharana Pratap and many other Rajputs always considered Akbar as a foreign invader. Maharana Pratap also banned inter marriages between Rajputs who had given their daughters to the Mughals and the ones who did not.But little did Akbar know that when he married Jodhaa (Aishwarya Rai), a fiery Rajput princess, in order to further strengthen his relations with the Rajputs, he would in turn be embarking upon a new journey – the journey of true love.

The daughter of King Bharmal of Amer, Jodhaa resented being reduced to a mere political pawn in this marriage of alliance, and Akbar’s biggest challenge now lies in winning the love of Jodhaa – a love hidden deep below resentment and extreme prejudice

Plot

ACP Karan Malhotra (Sonu Sood) has declared that he will eliminate all gangsters from Mumbai within two months. Gangster Kabir bhai (Prakash Raj) decides to eliminate ACP Karan instead. So in comes Vijju (Amitabh Bachchan), a hitman who returns to Mumbai after a long exile in Paris, France in order to perform one last job.

While the gangsters and Vijju try to take down ACP Karan, ACP Karan is trying to woo his old college friend Tanya (Sonal Chauhan) and Tanya's friend Amrita (Charmee Kaur) is trying to figure out the relationship between Vijju and her mother (Raveena Tandon). Vijju later reveals that he is not the contract killer and is rather trying to protect his son, ACP Karan.

The story rolls on showing Vijju climbing the ladder of underworld to reach Kabir bhai and plot with him the murder of Karan. One of Kabir bhai's associate goes against his decision of roping in Vijju and attempts to shoot Karan. He misses narrowly and returns to base, facing mockery from Vijju. Meanwhile Vijju meets his estranged wife Sita (Hema Malini) and tries to patch the relationship. Kabir's aide attempts once again and is successful to pump some bullets into Karan, failing Vijju's attempts to stop him from going to the place of shoot-out. A hurt and angry Vijju then admits Karan to a hospital and visits Kabir bhai's den. After reciting a short story and explaining three morals, Vijju informs that Karan is alive and the den is surrounded by police. A fierce shoot-out ensues in which Vijju kills all the gangsters at the den except Kabir bhai and his aide who roped in Vijju to the underworld don. A surprised Kabir bhai is shot in the head by Vijju but he leaves his aide. The movie ends at the hospital where Vijju asks his wife to decide if she would reveal his identity to Karan. He also says that he would come back in case either his wife or son are in trouble ever and if he does not come back, it would mean that he has passed away, given his old age. To this, Sita responds "Bbuddah... Hoga Terra Baap."

Super (Telugu: సూపర్) is a 2005 Telugu film written and directed by Puri Jagannadh. The film stars Akkineni Nagarjuna, Ayesha Takia, Sonu Sood, and Anushka Shetty. Soundtrack of the film was composed by Sandeep Chowta. The film was also dubbed into Hindi and was titled Robbery.

Plot

Akhil (Nagarjuna) owns a call-cab service. He falls in love with a doctor, Siri Valli (Ayesha Takia). Soon Siri Valli falls in love with Akhil as well. There is a hi-tech robber called Sonu (Sonu Sood) who steals money in a big way. Sonu used to work for Siri Valli's father and so adopts her as his sister after their family fall into bad times.

Incidentally, Akhil and Sonu are enemies. When Sonu realizes that Siri Valli is in deep love with his arch enemy Akhil, he asks her to put an end to their relationship and to never see him again. Siri Valli goes to Akhil's house to find out why Sonu and him are enemies. Akhil reveals his flash back:

Akhil, Sasha (Anushka Shetty), and Sonu meet in Mumbai in their needy days as unemployed graduates. They soon become friends as they all struggle to find work. Sasha is Sonu's sister. Sasha suddenly develops pains in her stomach and needs an appendix operation. Sonu and Akhil don't have enough money. After a few days, they were forced to steal money. Then they decide to rob the money and make a living out of it. Sasha loves Akhil. But Akhil does not have any feelings for her. He treats her just like a friend. Akhil, Sasha, and Sonu are given one more task: to rob diamonds. After this one robbery, they can be settled for life. Late that same night at the biker's club, Sasha says openly that she will kill herself if Akhil does not love her. Being stubborn, Sasha decides to stay at the Biker's club very late. Meanwhile, she hears some men talking and finds out that it was the same men who told them to rob the diamonds. But the goons plan to kill Akhil, Sonu, and Sasha right after they succeed in the robbery. Sasha overhears them and the goons chase Sasha. They kill her and make it to believe that she committed suicide.

From then on Sonu hates Akhil. Because Akhil couldn't love Sasha, Sonu hates Akhil. Still, neither Sonu or Akhil know that Sasha was killed by goons. After several incidents, they find out who really is behind Sasha's murder: Mama. Mama kidnaps Siri Valli and in ransom, tells Akhil and Sonu to rob the same diamonds they were supposed to rob in Mumbai. They successfully rob the diamonds by blowing up underneath the truck carrying the diamonds (inspired by The Italian Job) and falling into the sea. Akhil then goes into the ocean and gets the diamonds. The police start chasing Sonu and Akhil on motorboats. One of the police shoots Sonu and he falls into the ocean. Still, Akhil does not stop and he heads on over to Mama's place. Akhil gets a hold of Sonu, who faked his death, and Sonu rushes to get his sister from the clutches of the bad guys. Akhil and Sonu manages to kill everyone there and keep the diamonds.

Plot

Sreenu (Ram) is the son of Vishwanatham (Chandra Mohan). He is a high school drop out in Anakapalle and wants to marry his uncle’s (Dharmavarapu Subramanyam) daughter Bujji (Swati Reddy). She rejects him stating that he doesn’t have college education. Sreenu, who is clever and street-smart decides to go to Hyderabad for further education. While travelling in the train, he bashes up a bunch of rowdies teasing college girls. At the college in Hyderabad, he meets Shruthi (Hansika Motwani) and falls in love with her. The city gangster Bhavani (Sonu Sood) is in love with her and blackmails her to marry him. He beats anyone moving closely with Shruthi. Meanwhile, henchmen of Warangal Rajanna (Jaya Prakash Reddy), a dreaded chieftain, are looking for Sreenu in the city.

Sreenu meets Bhavani and forces him to a challenge, whereby, he will make Shruthi love him. Sreenu rescues Shruthi from being kidnapped by the gang of Yadayya, a rival of Bhavani. When Sreenu wins Shruthi's heartand both of them decide to elope, she is kidnapped.

It is then revealed that Rajanna kidnapped Shruthi to get hold of Sreenu because Rajanna’s daughter Sandhya (Aksha Pardasany) is in love with Sreenu. She was the girl who was saved by Sreenu on the train. Sreenu lands at Rajanna’s place and finds himself in a fix. Bhavani, too, arrives at Rajanna’s place to take away Shruthi. A police intelligence officer (Raghu Babu), Rajanna's brother-in-law, comes to attend Sreenu and Sandhya's wedding. Sreenu and Bhavani start their one-upmanship games to win Shruthi.

How Sreenu comes out of this quagmire to rescue Shruthi from the clutches of Rajanna and Bhavani and what happens to Sandhya are revealed in the climax interspersed with twists and turns.

Arundhati

Arundhati (Telugu: అరుంధతి) is a 2009 Telugu, fantasy film written and directed by Kodi Ramakrishna, starring Anushka and Sonu Sood in the lead. The film was released on 16 January 2009 to positive reviews and emerged as a commercial blockbuster and became one of the highest grossing Telugu films of the time. Owing to its success, it was later dubbed into Tamil and Malayalam with the same title and in Oriya as "Mantrasakti".

Plot

Arundhati (Anushka Shetty) is the great-granddaughter of the Raja of Gadwal, Mahasamsthan. Arrangements are being made for her marriage. Arundhati visits her native place before marriage. She is the first female to be born since her great grand grandmother and is especially revered in the family. While everyone else treats her normally, her grandfather, the head of the family, talks to her with respect as if she is older than him. She receives a misleading phone call in her fiance Rahul's (Arjan Bajwa) voice asking her to come to the fort of Gadwal, where she faces a horrible revelation. Learning the story from an aged servant maid, Chandramma (Manorama), Arundhati comes to know that she is a look alike of her great-grandmother Arundhati/Jejjamma (Anushka).
Jejjama's story is not a happy one. Jejjamma is an expert in painting, dancing and martial arts (essential skills for princesses). Her elder sister is married to her cousin Pasupathi (Sonu Sood). Pasupathi, a womaniser, rapes the women he likes and kills those who objected. While Jejjama was still a young girl, he rapes and killed her blind dance teacher while Jejjama watched, horrified through the peephole. Jejjama, furious, demands that he be thrashed and killed but the King remorsefully tells her that this would ruin her sister's life and so he cannot order Pasupathi's demise. Hearing this, Jejjamma's sister commits suicide. The people of Gadwal furiously thrash Pasupathi, injuring him severely. They tie him to his horse. Though Gadwal celebrates his death, he is saved by Aghoras (saints who practice the dark arts). Pasupathi masters the Tantric arts and returns to Gadwal many years later to exact his revenge.
He unleashes carnage as he uses his powers to torture innocent people-something the Aghoras don't do. He arrives on Jejjama's marriage day and kills her family and guests. Jejjamma performs a special dance (which she had been taught by her dead dance teacher) imbued with martial arts to lull Pasupathi and then cuts off his tongue (thus ending the incantations) and pins his hands, ultimately cutting off the ropes of a chandelier and allowing it to fall on his body. She spares him from being killed to prevent him from becoming a 'pretatma' (a demonic poltergeist). Pasupathi is buried alive in a tomb and powerful 'yantras' (defensive spells) with inscriptions from Vedas and the holy scriptures are put on it to prevent him from coming out. Jejjamma, as a final measure, goes to the Aghories for help. They tell her that Pasupathi cannot be killed the way she is now and she must be reborn again in order to kill him. She sacrifices her own life and goes through intense torture-enduring coconuts being broken on her head and the like, while mantras are chanted. Before she dies, she tells her son that she will be reborn as the first daughter to be born in the family. This is the reason that Arundhathi's grandfather always treats her with respect. The queen dies, her body is burnt, and her relics are fashioned into a dagger – the one weapon that could destroy Pasupathi forever.
After this revelation through a flashback, a worker in a trance, unknowingly breaks the tomb and releases the 'pretatma'. The revenge drama ensues again. Anwar (Sayaji Shinde) who treats patients through sorcery tells her that she is none other than Jejamma and asks her to fight Pasupathi. From the portrait of Jejjamma which was painted by Jejjamma herself during her last days in the fort, Arundhati comes to know that her great-grandmother had prepared a 'weapon' with her own bones and had kept it with siddhas(Sage). Anwar and Arundhati proceed to procure the weapon, and while doing so, Anwar meets with an accident and falls off a cliff.
Arundhati, believing that Anwar is dead, is left with no option but to return to the fort to surrender herself to Pasupathi, to prevent the death of her family members. Anwar, who survives the fall, collects the weapon and hands it to Arundhati. The siddhas who crafted the weapon for Jejjamma tell Anwar that the weapon has to be soaked in Arundhathi's blood before it can be used. Otherwise it will not know that the opponent is a villain. Arundathi tries to kill Pasupathi but it does not work. Before Anwar tells her the secret about the weapon being soaked in blood, Pasupathi kills him. As a last resort to save herself from being tormented by Pasupathi, Arundhati tries to kill herself with the same weapon and in the process the weapon gets soaked in her blood. The dagger glows brightly and the power incantations inscribed on it glow with energy. Arundhati finally slays Pasupathi.

Story

Manju (Devina), Anju (Vidya), Ranjani (Swapna Madhuri), Prasad (Vijay) and Sanjay (Mohit) are five teens living in a colony. Prasad is a short guy and has lots of inferiority complex. Anju and Manju have hots for Sanjay. Prasad is in love with Anju. Ranjani is in love with Prasad. Sanjay does not believe in love and hence he doesn't really care to respond to either Anju or Manju.

There is a guy called Rakesh (Sonu Sood) who is brother-in-law of Manju. Their parents set off marriage to Rakesh and Manju. The rest of the story is about who settles with whom and who gets ditched!

Artists performance:

Main Leads: Vijay suited the character of the short man very well. He is quite hyper active. Mohit did the role of Sanjay - a cynosure of girls. He had nativity problems in expression. Devina is pretty sensual. Vidya does not have any major role to play. Swapna Madhuri got a weird character of girl who loves black magic. Sonu Sood is impressive as villain. Director Ravi Babu dubbed Sonu Sood's voice.

Other characters: Surya played the role of a father who suspects his son all the time and beat him up as and when he gets an opportunity. Subhashini (the black female from Allari film) did the role of sex-starved Kameswari, mother of a heroine. Her portrayal and mannerisms are pretty vulgar. There is a scene in which she parades in erotic costumes that shows her in swimwear and stockings. She is absolutely pathetic. Chalapati Rao did an insignificant role. Director Ravi Babu played the real time role of movie director. Devi Charan played a comedy-oriented role of sidekick to villain and he evokes some laughter with his getup and mannerisms. Chitram Seenu did the role of a drunkard student. Dharmavarapu Subramanyam donned six characters in this film.

Technical Departments:

Screenplay - direction: What marred the whole film is the poor script and bland direction. Ravi Babu who proved himself as a director of new film genre with a sensible 'Allari' had failed to give a decent film this time. The total plot of the film is unrealistic and characters are very artificial. He seems to have followed 'American Pie' genre films from Hollywood and you can find lots of unrealistic setups (like Cloakrooms in college, drive-in theaters, masquerade [Halloween] parties, designer college bus [Yellow-painted Ramoji Film City visitor bus], Coffee Shop hangouts etc). Director missed the nativity aspect and audience does not identify any character/scene to themselves or their experiences. Screenplay of the film is uninspiring.

Dialogues: Though Nivas has done a decent job the situations are not good enough to generate any laughter in the film. There is no timing in comedy.

Art: One of the assets of the film is exotic artwork by Bhupesh. The interiors of the houses in the film are delight for eyes. The sets erected for songs are also of a very good aesthetic taste.

Music: The songs composed by Chakri and choreography by Prasanna are assets for the film. Background is average. Songs come as refreshing air in this film.

Other departments: Camerawork by Joshi is good. Editing by Marthand K Venkatesh is average. Stunts by Horseman Babu are good.

Analysis:
The film is a let down for movie lovers who expected another good film from Ravi Babu. The assets of the film are artwork by Bhupesh and music by Chakri. The main drawback of the film is insipid screenplay, lack of nativity and artificial characterization. The scenes that depict sex are bland in the film. There is a small divider between sensuality and blandness when it comes to dealing with sex. In Allari, Ravi Babu dealt them sensually and in this film he crossed the divider to make the same scenes appear bland.
