Plot

Jai (Tusshar Kapoor) has a habit of involving himself in all types of challenges. While Jai and Sonam (Gracy Singh) go out singing and dancing, there comes a moment when an argument develops between them regarding love. Sonam believes in love at first sight while Jai opposes vehemently, stating that love at first sight is nothing but mere infatuation. Sonam challenges Jai to befriend and propose to a girl of her choice. If he succeeds, she will accept defeat and present Jai with a gift, which he has to accept. Jai accepts the challenge

Just then a beautiful girl steps down the temple stairs. Sonam points at her as the target for their challenge. The girl is Sarayu (Amrita Arora). Adopting different methods, Jai ultimately strikes a chord of friendship with Sarayu. One day, Sarayu’s brother Nanda sees them together. Nanda and his goons thrash people black and blue if they dare to cast an evil eye on Sarayu. He goes to Jai’s office with his henchmen. After a scuffle, Nanda warns Jai to stay away from his sister. Seeing their rough behavior, Sonam expresses her wish to withdraw her challenge. But Jai is now more determined to face Nanda at any cost.

Sarayu learns about the confrontation and decides to reveal everything to her brother. While he is in a jolly mood, she confesses her love for Jai. Nanda gets enraged and disapproves of Jai. A depressed Sarayu attempts suicide. Jai learns about the suicide attempt and runs to the hospital to meet her. But Nanda confronts him again. Nanda tells Sarayu that Jai is in love with another girl, and they are planning to marry shortly. When Sarayu questions Jai about it, he reveals the truth about the challenge with Sonam. Sarayu feels betrayed. Sonam observes all this and tells Jai that he has won the challenge, for which her gift to him is Sarayu’s hand in marriage.

Plot

Sameer (Salman Khan) is a hot-tempered guy who is very unlucky in love. His fiance (Amrita Arora) left him because of his aggression. To get away from everything, he leaves for Goa, where he meets Rani (Priyanka Chopra) and instantly falls in love with her. After many attempts at befriending her and a rough start with her father (Amrish Puri), Rani and Sameer become friends.

Sunny (Akshay Kumar) then moves into the same house as Sameer and causes a lot of trouble between the two. It is evident that Sunny is out to ruin Sameer's relationship with Rani so that he can steal Rani away from him. He is constantly doing bad things and blaming Sameer for them, while taking credit for all of Sameer's good deeds. His actions aggravate Sameer and ignite his temper, making his relationships rocky. Though it is evident that Rani only loves Sameer very very much and thinks Sunny as her just very good friend, she can not express her love for Sameer due to her father's fear. But Rani's mother tells her to unite with Sameer if she really loves him.

At the end, Sameer expresses his true love for Rani, proposing to her in front of a huge crowd. Rani accepts and Sunny reveals that he is really Sameer's childhood best friend Arun, and that he only wanted to help Sameer. The best friends reunite with a hug and Sameer and Rani get married, with Arun conducting the wedding.
